Scattegories is a fun and challenging board game that tests your creativity and quick thinking. I have recreated a classroom version for SPANISH LEARNERS called: ¡PÁREME LA MANO! also called in other countries, TUTTI FRUTI o PARA EL FUEGO. This is a fun game we used to play in school growing up in South America. I have tried in my own classroom and kids LOVE IT! This is such a great game to practice vocabulary and parts of the speech.

This product contains two versions of this game. One for individual play and one for a group game. There are a set of rules for both games but these are just suggested rules as you can set your own depending of the group of kids you teach. Kids will only need a dice, a white board marker and a wiper.

Spanish numbers will be easy after playing this set of 10 digital picture tile games! Practice reading numbers in Spanish with this pictures tile game that can be played as a Google slides activity or in PowerPoint. Match the images to the numbers to make a picture with a yummy breakfast theme. The first slides are pretty easy - numbers 0-20, 0-40, 10-70 and 60-99, but the later ones go up into the millions! Easy to grade at a glance - either the student has it correct, or the picture will be messed up

You and your class have worked hard all year, now it's time to practice before the final exam! Get your students out of their seats to ask and answer questions using the present tense while getting to know each other. This is a great community building or social emotional activity for your Spanish classroom.

1. Set a timer for the activity depending on how long you would like them to practice.

2. Give one card to each student asking and answering the questions on their cards.

3. After each student of the pair asks and answers the questions, the students switch cards and give each other a high five. The high five adds community-building to this activity.

4. With his/her new card, s/he raises his/her hand to find a new partner to repeat the process.

5. Teacher should circulate while the students are talking to encourage them to speak only Spanish.

6. After the time is up, collect the cards and then discuss the questions/answers and any difficulties they had while answering the questions.

Are you looking for a quick, fun way to get your students practicing the conjugations of irregular verbs in the present tense Spanish? This fun, low-prep dice activity is a great way to practice verb conjugations and sentence writing! You can specify the tense, so this could be used at all levels! All you need is copies of the game sheet and one or two dice for each group.

This activity can be done individually, in pairs, or in small groups and it's a great way to fill a few extra minutes when your lesson ends early or on days with irregular schedules (like standardized test days, pep rallies, early releases, etc). This is also a great learning station activity. My students love playing the dice game and I'm sure yours will too!

This resource includes 2 versions of the activity, with 5 different irregular verbs.

• Version 1 (page 4) contains six subjects, five verbs, and twelve lines for writing out sentences.
• Version 2 (page 5) contains the same six subjects and five verbs as version one without space to write. This version is great to print on colored cardstock and laminate for the future. Two copies of the activity are on each page in version 2.

Teaching Spanish el restaurante vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun Spanish speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in Spanish by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

All of the words on each card are written in Spanish and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels!  You are going to love hearing your students speaking in Spanish to each other about el restaurante.

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the Spanish TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

Is reading comprehension getting boring in your Spanish class?  Turn it into a game!  This reading about famous Afro-Latinos goes from dull to exciting as students work together and move around the room to solve a mystery!  This is a simple “print and go” with no work for the teacher!  

   There’s been a robbery at  a famous museum for Afro-Latinos!  The students play the role of the investigator of the museum robbery.  They have to read all 10 parts of the story to get the full picture of what was taken and why the objects are important.  While they read the parts, they are also looking for “code words”.  Students record the code words on a special answer sheet that will eventually lead them to solving the mystery of who stole the important artifacts.  It’s so much fun! 

    After, you can decide which of the 3 follow-up activities you want to do with your students.  There are 3; a True or False Activity to check for basic comprehension, a graphic organizer for students to organize notes about 4 Afro-Latinos, and a writing follow up where students use their reading comprehension and critical thinking to invent an explanation for why the thief stole the items.  Answer key to the True/False is also included.  Best of all?  If there’s something you’d like to change for your students, you are free to edit!

Your students will love practicing their conjugation skills with this quick, fun, and challenging conjugation game. Conjugationland is a fast paced board game that gives students lots of practicing with conjugations. Conjugationland can be played with any type of verb! I use it in all my classes from Spanish I - IV, regular present tense to imperfect subjunctive, anytime we learn a new tense or a new type of verb.

This product comes with:

- Conjugationland game board (originally sized for 13 x 19 paper but can be easily printed to regular 8.5 x 11 copy paper)

How can this product work during the ongoing pandemic?

My students were so excited to learn that we could continue playing this game when we returned to in-person class. We dubbed someone the 'maestro/a' of the game and they were responsible for moving the game pieces and rolling the die. All the game pieces go into a bag for easy disinfecting later. Use print outs of the game board that can be recycled or laminate your game boards so that they can be sanitized! :)

Make learning about Spanish culture and history interesting with this no-prep digital escape game bundle.  The games include access to a website where your students will hunt for the keys to unlock a set of locks.  Students will need to read the clues very carefully and watch videos, visit websites, and read texts to find the information they need to win the game.  Very easy to use - just send your students to the website and let them work!  Students can play individually or in teams.

Digital escape games are a fun way to start a unit, or to review at the end of a unit.  They can also be used to learn about a cultural or historical event.  This game will have your students reading carefully and paying attention to the smallest details in order to complete the challenge and unlock the locks.
