Scattegories is a fun and challenging board game that tests your creativity and quick thinking. I have recreated a classroom version for SPANISH LEARNERS called: ¡PÁREME LA MANO! also called in other countries, TUTTI FRUTI o PARA EL FUEGO. This is a fun game we used to play in school growing up in South America. I have tried in my own classroom and kids LOVE IT! This is such a great game to practice vocabulary and parts of the speech.

This product contains two versions of this game. One for individual play and one for a group game. There are a set of rules for both games but these are just suggested rules as you can set your own depending of the group of kids you teach. Kids will only need a dice, a white board marker and a wiper.

This is a set of 30 task cards in Spanish for reviewing or practicing the present progressive. You can use these cards for in-class review, a board game, a centers activity, or for the game SCOOT! This product provides a generic guide I came up with using AVID strategies as well as a reading my students did this year during their Science and Technology Unit. Using the AVID strategies to practice Close Reading in my AP Spanish Language and Culture course. I have provided this resource with a free example.

Spanish dots and boxes game - Los días y los meses - No prep printable

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the learning the days and months in Spanish. This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools. This game is included in my Primary Spanish months and days bundle - Los días y los meses.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the words on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most.

El Restaurante - Spanish 20 questions game - No prep printable speaking activity

The game of 20 questions is a fun and effective way to practice forming Spanish questions and in this version of the game, students will learn over 50 nouns and verbs that follow a restaurante theme. This resource is included in my Spanish Restaurant Bundle.

This game work for any level as it is written in Spanish and English. Want a real challenge for your upper levels or immersion students? Use the Spanish only version!

Included:

1 version with vocabulary written in Spanish and English

1 version with vocabulary written in Spanish only

Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and use it as a whole class activity.

This game includes 52 words. Many of the words will be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. After they've played the games a few times looking at the Spanish-English version they feel more prepared to move on to the Spanish only version.

One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word.

¿Es una persona?

¿Es un animal?

¿Es un mineral?

¿Es un lugar?

¿Es comida?

¿Es una planta?

¿Es un objeto?

The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: SÍ - NO - RARAMENTE - GENERALMENTE - PUEDE SER - DEPENDE - PROBABLEMENTE.

Alternative game play:

To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

This is a fun review game to play with your Spanish students. I designed this game using regular –er and -ir verbs, as well as ir, ser, hacer, querer, decir, estar, and stem-changing -ir verbs, all in the preterite. This game can be played in centers, or you can print enough for the whole class to play in groups. The game includes:

• 48 cards
• two options for the game board
• an answer key.

Directions:

1. Determine who will play first.
2. The first player draws a card and must conjugate the verb in parentheses. If the conjugation is correct, the player spins and moves the indicated number of spaces. If it is incorrect, the player does not move.
3. The next player draws a card, and play continues.
4. If the player lands on “pierda su turno”, they lose their next turn.
5. If the player lands on “turno extra”, they get an extra turn.
6. Play continues until the first player reaches “el fin”.
