This PowerPoint is a great way for English & non English speakers to practice speaking and reading about their emotions in Spanish. It consists of the vocabulary sad, angry, happy, and scared. You can also practice using: He is/She is, I am, I feel, I feel ___ because...., There are cute illustrations used from www.mycutegraphics.com by Laura Strickland (website gives permission to use) Teacher can use this powerpoint several different ways: 1. Read questions and sentences together. 2. Break into groups of two or more. Students will examine pictures and come up with a sentence to describe the picture. It can either be the same sentence that will pop on a click of the mouse or something similar. Use a point system to see can say the most correctly. 3. Print these cards out like flashcards and glue on construction paper. Then give each student a card. Teacher can say the sentence while others repeat. 4. Use other ESL strategies

This is a one-page full-color game board with spaces marked in Spanish. It can be used with trivia cards, task cards, or flashcards for a quick and painless set up. My students love playing this quick game during learning centers. This game includes a version with directions printed on the board and a version without directions. This one week SPANISH writing program will have your students writing every day of the week, and is perfect for Spanish immersion and regular Spanish curriculum. The writing activities in this program include five prewriting and writing activities for Monday through Friday. These writing prompts are a great way both to introduce and to review writing. Provide each student with a "párrafo de la semana" folder and have them add to it every day as you give them daily assignments. At the end of the week have them turn in their folders.

Theme: Durante las vacaciones de verano, me gusta...

Here’s how this program works:

✍Lunes:  Dibujo - Give students a drawing page with a writing prompt at the top. This will have them beginning to think about the writing theme for the week and is their first pre-writing assignment. Kids love drawing, and the pictures they draw will later serve as inspiration!

✍Martes:  Mi folleto de vocabulario - Each student receives a booklet to help them explore the vocabulary related to the week’s writing theme. The front page includes the writing prompt of the week and an image. The second page includes over 80 frequently used Spanish words. Page three lists 12 words that go along with the theme of the week, and the back page has space for ten words that students have either thought of on their own or looked up in the dictionary. The booklet is a simple one page printable that you can either fold in advance or have students do it on their own. Kids write their name on the front cover and you could have them color it.

✍Miercoles:  Vocabulario - Students go back to their vocabulary booklets from Tuesday and choose ten words that they will include in their rough draft. The words they choose can be a combination of words they have chosen and themed vocabulary that was already written in the booklet. They then write down the chosen words on their vocabulary page that says “ Palabras de vocabulario útiles: Voy a utilizar estas palabras en mi párrafo".

✍Jueves:  Mi borrador - Students write a rough draft of their paragraph using the vocabulary words selected on Wednesday. The brouillon page includes a 5 point checklist at the top for students to evaluate their work for themselves before writing the final copy on Friday. This will motivate students to look over their work and make corrections. 

✍Viernes:  Mi borrador final - The fifth and final step in this writing program is to write the final copy. Students should feel very confident in writing about this week’s theme by now. At the top of the final copy page they’ll see the writing prompt and question words that they can ask themselves while writing:  quién - qué - cuándo - dónde - por qué - cómo

Fichas de trabajo, listas para ser usadas, de las palabras de uso frecuente de la semana del programa ¡Arriba la lectura! de HMH de segundo grado. Este recurso es ideal para utilizar como tarea, en centros de trabajo, o como refuerzo adicional en el aula.

Al adquirir este recurso, obtendrás un archivo PDF de 8 páginas diseñado para trabajar las 5 palabras de la semana. Cada palabra cuenta con su propia página, incluyendo dos opciones para el reverso: una que invita al alumno a escribir más oraciones con la palabra y otra que les permite practicar la escritura de la palabra del día e incluso las de la semana. Ambas opciones de reverso son completamente opcionales.

En esta actividad se trabajan 5 palabras de uso frecuente de la semana del programa de HMH para segundo grado. Cada módulo cubre 3 semanas, con 5 palabras por semana, totalizando 15 palabras por módulo. El programa completo tiene 12 módulos repartidos en 36 semanas.

Cada palabra se trabajará de las siguientes formas:

- Lectura de la palabra y separación en sílabas, con un casillero para indicar el número de sílabas.

This one week SPANISH writing program will have your students writing every day of the week, and is perfect for Spanish immersion and regular Spanish curriculum. The writing activities in this program include five prewriting and writing activities for Monday through Friday. These writing prompts are a great way both to introduce and to review writing. Provide each student with a "párrafo de la semana" folder and have them add to it every day as you give them daily assignments. At the end of the week have them turn in their folders.

Theme: Si fuera al zoológico con mis amigos...

Here’s how this program works:

✍Lunes:  Dibujo - Give students a drawing page with a writing prompt at the top. This will have them beginning to think about the writing theme for the week and is their first pre-writing assignment. Kids love drawing, and the pictures they draw will later serve as inspiration!

✍Martes:  Mi folleto de vocabulario - Each student receives a booklet to help them explore the vocabulary related to the week’s writing theme. The front page includes the writing prompt of the week and an image. The second page includes over 80 frequently used Spanish words. Page three lists 12 words that go along with the theme of the week, and the back page has space for ten words that students have either thought of on their own or looked up in the dictionary. The booklet is a simple one page printable that you can either fold in advance or have students do it on their own. Kids write their name on the front cover and you could have them color it.

✍Miercoles:  Vocabulario - Students go back to their vocabulary booklets from Tuesday and choose ten words that they will include in their rough draft. The words they choose can be a combination of words they have chosen and themed vocabulary that was already written in the booklet. They then write down the chosen words on their vocabulary page that says “ Palabras de vocabulario útiles: Voy a utilizar estas palabras en mi párrafo".

✍Jueves:  Mi borrador - Students write a rough draft of their paragraph using the vocabulary words selected on Wednesday. The brouillon page includes a 5 point checklist at the top for students to evaluate their work for themselves before writing the final copy on Friday. This will motivate students to look over their work and make corrections. 

✍Viernes:  Mi borrador final - The fifth and final step in this writing program is to write the final copy. Students should feel very confident in writing about this week’s theme by now. At the top of the final copy page they’ll see the writing prompt and question words that they can ask themselves while writing:  quién - qué - cuándo - dónde - por qué - cómo

Fichas de trabajo, listas para ser usadas, de las palabras de uso frecuente de la semana del programa ¡Arriba la lectura! de HMH de segundo grado. Este recurso es ideal para utilizar como tarea, en centros de trabajo, o como refuerzo adicional en el aula.

Al adquirir este recurso, obtendrás un archivo PDF de 8 páginas diseñado para trabajar las 5 palabras de la semana. Cada palabra cuenta con su propia página, incluyendo dos opciones para el reverso: una que invita al alumno a escribir más oraciones con la palabra y otra que les permite practicar la escritura de la palabra del día e incluso las de la semana. Ambas opciones de reverso son completamente opcionales.

En esta actividad se trabajan 5 palabras de uso frecuente de la semana del programa de HMH para segundo grado. Cada módulo cubre 3 semanas, con 5 palabras por semana, totalizando 15 palabras por módulo. El programa completo tiene 12 módulos repartidos en 36 semanas.

Cada palabra se trabajará de las siguientes formas:

- Lectura de la palabra y separación en sílabas, con un casillero para indicar el número de sílabas.

- Escritura libre de la palabra, fomentando la creatividad del alumno.

- Búsqueda de la palabra en una sopa de letras.

- Trazo de las letras que componen la palabra.

- Rellenado de las letras dentro de cuadrados de distintos tamaños.

- Redacción de varias oraciones utilizando la palabra de la semana.

En la última página, se incluyen los resultados correctos de cada una de las 5 sopas de letras de cada semana.

This alphabet puzzle activity is an engaging way to practice the alphabet letters in Spanish. Students have to match the letters with the images to complete each puzzle. They are great for centers, early finisher activities, review and more!
