Bring Halloween fun into your classroom with this Halloween-Themed I Spy Activity, where students practice counting and graphing skills while searching for spooky-themed objects!

This engaging Halloween I Spy Activity includes a fun-filled search page featuring six Halloween-themed images such as jack-o'-lanterns, ghosts, and witches. Students will count how many of each item they find and then move on to one of the two graphing pages to record their results. Both graphing sheets feature the same images at the bottom, making it easy for students to track and graph their discoveries. One of the graphing sheets includes numbers to support diverse learners who may need additional guidance. French HALLOWEEN Cutie Pairs Writing Prompt
A terrific, no prep activity for your blossoming K-4 French writers who may be struggling to take risks with their writing skills. The students absolutely LOVE this activity and have been asking me for days when we get to do ‘le gateau et la crème glacée’. I gradually give students autonomy by giving them the freedom to talk about what they think the Food Pairs have in common.
What to do:
Make a class set of copies of one of the cutie pairs.
Students colour, write, and cut out the writing strip.
Finally, students cut and paste the ends of the writing strip to the back of each item in the pair. Fold in the middle and students can show the big reveal!

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

If the cat is behind the pumpkin, then the cat must be hidden again to play further. If the cat is not behind the pumpkin, then the poem is chanted again with a new sight word.
