Double Digit Addition with Regrouping #1- Base 10 Blocks- Digital Math Center
By SPO Resources
2 Digit Addition with Regrouping Activity #1
This resource includes 40 interactive Google slides, 6 printable worksheets, and an Easel Ready Activity for students to practice adding double digit numbers with regrouping. This math center uses the place value strategy of base 10 blocks to practice solving addition problems with 2 digit addends up to 100.
The interactive slides allow students to drag moveable base-10 blocks into the tens and ones place to model the addition problem. Students can practice regrouping by moving groups of 10 ones into the box and exchanging the 10 ones for 1 ten. This is a great visual hands on activity to help students conceptually understand how to regroup numbers when moving to the standard algorithm. Every slide gives students the opportunity to practice the problem using the place value mat with base-10 pieces and the standard algorithm.
The resource also includes a blank worksheet template as well as a blank slides template to create additional problems for your students!
The slides and worksheets are divided into two differentiated levels. The first resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with sums up to 50 and the second resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with sums from 50-100. Each slideshow contains a video link that models how to add double digit numbers using base-10 blocks.
This resource can be used in Google Classroom for math centers, independent practice, distance learning, or for small group mini-lesson. In addition, this can be used as a teaching resource for a whole class lesson. Simply project the Google Slides presentation on the whiteboard, use the moveable pieces to model each problem, and give students the worksheet or place value mat to follow along with the lesson.
Students will understand how to add two digit numbers with regrouping using Base-10 blocks with sums up to 100.
You will need to have a google account to access the google slides, but you do not need to have a Google classroom to assign this resource to students.
Included

Lemon Squeeze~Math Night Spring/Summer Themed Make & Take
By Regina Frazier
Lemon Squeeze is an adapted Monster Squeeze game from the Everyday Math Program. My students love playing this game in class and now they can make their own game and show their parents how to play and practice their skills during the summer months. I created this game to use at our "Make & Take Summer Themed Math Night."
Serve some lemonade and have your students assemble the pieces to this game with take home directions so the parents will understand how to play the game. Students can create their own number lines by gluing it together or writing in their own numbers on the provided spaces. You can differentiate this activity by making number lines to best fit your student's needs. Numbers up to 100 are included. You may want to just use numbers 0-10 or 0-20 or perhaps 0-50 or 0-100. Students could also make their own number lines by counting by 2', 5's or 10's. Students can color and cut out the pitcher of lemonade and glue it to a popsicle stick or use the colored ones that are provided.
Example:
To begin playing, say: I’m thinking of a number
between 0 and 20.
Take turns guessing a number.
If the number is too large, say: “Your number is too large, and move the lemonade pitcher to cover that number.”
If the number is too small, say: “Your number is too small, and move the lemon to cover that number.
Continue with guesses until the correct number has been “squeezed” between the lemon and the pitcher

Firetruck File Folder Games | Community Helper | Count & Shape Matching Practice
By Morgan Jeffries
These are both community helper themed file folder games. One game has shape and color matching practice and the other file folder game has number recognition practice as well as one-to-one correspondence practice.
I would print and laminate all the pages for both activities.
For the number Fire Truck file folder game attach the firetruck pages that have numbers on each one onto the filefolder. Once that is done cut out the firetrucks that have the borders and a different number of dots on each one. Once that is done I would attach a velcro dot to the front of each firetruck that has a number on it as well as the back of each one that have different numbers of dots on each one. You and your students can use this product multiple times.
For the shape/color matching file folder game I would do the same thing. Print and laminate all the firetruck pages. Once that is done attach the #2 pages of shape/color firetrucks that do not have the borders around each separate firetruck to the file folder. Then cut the firetrucks with borders on them out and create fire truck counting cards. Once that is done put a velcro dot on each firetruck that's attached to the file folder and then place a velcro dot on the back of each firetruck counting card. This makes this game easy to reuse for different themes and activities that you do throughout the year!
I hope you and your students enjoy this product as mach as I enjoyed making it!
