Guided reading groups will enjoy making connections to their own projects, activities, classroom and school. The 10 page packet can easily be differentiated. ~Questions are based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and use higher level thinking skills. Students also think beyond the text to respond to many questions. Many questions elicit story recall responses. ~Included in the unit: -comprehension questions for each chapter -Ready, Freddy game – focus on characters and their actions ~ When I use this unit with one of my guided reading groups, the unit can last from a week to two weeks depending on how often the group meets. My guided reading groups also set their own expectations/assignments for completing their books. ~ Ready, Set, Snow! is a great book to connect with the Winter Olympics. Guided reading groups will enjoy making connections to their own classroom and school. The 10 page packet can easily be differentiated. ~Questions are based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and use higher level thinking skills. Students also think beyond the text to respond to many questions. Many questions also elicit story recall responses. ~Included in the unit: -comprehension questions for each chapter -Ready, Freddy Bingo – focus on characters ~ When I use this unit with one of my guided reading groups, the unit can last from a week to two weeks depending on how often the group meets. My guided reading groups also set their own expectations/assignments for completing their books.
