Owl At Home poke cards are a great independent, partner or guided reading group comprehension activity. The poke cards are self checking. Students will answer the question by selecting one of three choices. Using a pencil, straw, or pipe cleaner, students will poke through the hole to choose their answer. The correct answer will have a mark above or around the hole. The poking process quickly engages the students and provides immediate feedback to them. Cards have chapter titles on them for ease of organization. Teacher Preparation: -Print on card stock for durability. -Using a hole punch, at each * punch a hole. -Identify the correct answer and draw a circle around the hole or mark an X above the hole. -Laminate for durability.

Stink The Incredible Shrinking Kid
By Rachel Thiry
Guided reading group time has always been a favorite time in my classroom. Students love the closeness of the small group and reading a book chosen just for them! Stink The Incredible Shrinking Kid is the first book in the Stink series. This great book would be a wonderful connection to a math measurement unit and/or President’s Day. The format is half page (my students LOVE the booklet format). Copy front/back, staple and you’re ready to go. Included in the packet: -comprehension questions for each chapter -short word work review task for five chapters (nouns, verbs, adjectives, possessive nouns, compound words, and cool words (word choice). Stink The Incredible Shrinking Kid is an AR level 3.0 book. I hope your students enjoy this Stink book! Please leave your comments and feedback, I enjoy hearing from you. Also, I would love to have you follow me to receive notifications about my new TeachShare products, sales, and freebies. Thanks for visiting and checking out my store! Judy
