DIRECTIONS FOR USE

WORKSHEETS

No-Prep, just print and go. You can use just the cut and paste pages or also pass out the additional sentence writing page that matches. The second page can also be used for early finishers. The ABC cut and paste worksheet has the alphabet listed as a reference. The sentences page has an editing checklist on it.

LITERACY CENTER

Cut apart the 26 picture/word cards and place in center. Print one or both recording sheets and place in center. Students choose 6 picture/word cards, copy those 6 words onto their cut and paste sheet, then complete their worksheet. If you place the second worksheet at the station, then students will choose 4 of their words to practice writing sentences with.

Your students can listen to 11 great STEM stories using QR Codes. nine of these stories are from the website Kid Time Story Time who granted us permission to use their stories! They also granted us permission to show these stories through Share Safe TV, so they are safe for your students!

Simply cut and laminate the cards. The cards can then be used at a listening, science, or STEM center! There is a worksheet for students to keep track of and rate the stories they listen to. There are also three differentiated reading response sheets.

Looking for a fun and easy Halloween review game? CVC mixed grid mystery puzzles are a quick and easy way for students to review CVC words this October! Students will practice short vowel CVC words, beginning sounds, and rhyming words in this fun and interactive puzzle set.

Available in both color and black and white, the color version is made to be placed in centers, stations, or morning tubs. The black and white version is a great NO PREP print and go activity that students can cut, glue and color themselves.

WOW! Two different options for the same book! How fun – QR Codes and Poke Cards. Both are favorite activities for the students in my classroom. Henry and Mudge The First Book poke cards are a great independent, partner or guided reading group comprehension activity. Henry and Mudge books are a just right beginning chapter book for second grade students. Students in small groups quickly make connections to Henry and his big, loveable dog, Mudge. The poke cards are self checking. After reading each chapter, students will answer each question by selecting one of three choices. Using a pencil, straw, or pipe cleaner, students will poke through the hole to choose their answer. The correct answer will have a mark above or around the hole. The poking process quickly engages the students and provides immediate feedback to them. As with the poke cards, the QR code cards are self checking. My students love using our classroom iPods or iPads to check their answers. Cards have chapter titles on them for ease of organization. Cards are labeled poke cards or QR code cards. Answer key is included and clearly labeled. Teacher Preparation: -For QR and poke cards - Print on light colored card stock for durability. -For poke cards - Using a hole punch, at each * punch a hole. -On the back of the poke card identify the correct answer by drawing a circle around the hole or marking an X above the hole. -Laminate for durability. Do your students enjoy playing BINGO? Do they like Play Dough? Why not use them both to reinforce learning? This BINGO set has 20 capital letter cards and 20 lower case letter cards.
