~ The One Hundredth Day of School! is a great book to connect with the 100th day of school. Guided reading groups will enjoy making connections to their own projects, activities, classroom and school. The 10 page packet can easily be differentiated. ~Questions are based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and use higher level thinking skills. Students also think beyond the text to respond to many questions. ~ Stink Solar System Superhero is a wonderful book to reinforce a solar system/planet study. Students will use their background knowledge about our solar system and gain new understandings about our planets. This literature unit is a great guided reading group study. ~Questions are based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and use higher level thinking skills. Many questions also elicit story recall responses. ~Included in the unit: -comprehension questions for each chapter -word work activity for each chapter ~ I use this unit with one of my guided reading groups. The unit will last about a week or two. Sometimes the guided reading groups set their own expectations/assignments for completing their books. ~ Stink Solar System Superhero is an AR level 3.4 book.
