Student will match and identify colors using a Christmas theme: mittens, presents, lights and gingerbread houses. These books are easily modified by providing students with less choices.

BUILD SIGHT WORD FLUENCY!

These Fry sight word flash cards and posters are excellent for students to practice reading high frequency words and improve sight word identification and fluency. They are also a fun and engaging way to practice reading skills at home as a homework distance learning tool to use for the mastery of sight words.

Help your students build better reading skills using these Fry sight word flash cards for word work activities. These high frequency word cards can be used whole group, small group, in centers, for homework practice, or for word walls.

Sight words instruction is an excellent supplement to phonics instruction. Phonics is a method for learning to read in general, while sight words instruction increases a child’s familiarity with the high frequency words he will encounter most often. Sight word flashcards and posters can be used to introduce new words, practice previously taught words, and to practice in many different ways as listed below!
