Have fun counting with Adapted Books. Work with your students on on counting #1-10, 1-1 correspondence, and number identification with this set of four books. This set also focuses on the color ORANGE - orange items, orange blocks, orange 10 frames!
These interactive books provide opportunities for students to identify and utilize numbers on each page. These books require some prep work; however, once made, you can use them year after year! They utilize limited color ink for easy printing.
Book 1: Counting Orange Blocks - Count the blocks from 1-10
Book 2: Counting Orange 10 Frames - Use 10 frames to identify how many!
Book 3: Counting Orange items - Count the items on each page (cars, stars, flowers and more!).

Teachers who are looking for inclusive ways of attending to all the needs in their classroom may use this resource to support and engage young students in your care. The easy to see visuals, the clean and clear text, and the vibrant colouring means that students quickly learn in French all the various parts of their day. Students are able to predict what activities will come next, leading to greater autonomy and increased sense of independence for their own learning.

You may copy this resource in its original size of make student sized images by copying multiple pages onto the same document. Ie. two pages per sheet, or 4 pages per sheet.
What grade level:
I personally use this visual schedule with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the images with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their understanding of their daily activities and what order their learning will take place in each day. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to communicate at the Junior level.
IEP students:
We all have students with IEPs who need that extra boost to build confidence and to lessen anxieties about what is happening in class. Students quickly learn to identify each card and help me put up our schedule for the day. This has had a positive impact on all students in the class and supports the most vulnerable learners too!

September 11th Non-Fiction Reading Comprehension Passage Autism Grades 2-6

Introducing our newest non-fiction informational text reading passage "Remembering September 11th" designed specifically for learners in autism and MD classrooms this September in grades 2-8! This inclusive reading comprehension activity is thoughtfully created to cater to the unique needs of special education students while keeping the memory of 9/11 alive.
This 2 page text is supported with symbolated visuals to provide extra support and enhance understanding.
Your students will have the opportunity to practice their comprehension skills through 8 WH- questions that align with the text.
Each WH- question comes with 3 visual answer choices, ensuring that learners have a variety of options to choose from.

Fall Prepositions Adapted Books

Adaptive Books with a fall prepositions theme cover a variety of prepositions (in, on, around, behind, beside, above, and under. This set of adapted books includes four books!
Two books require your students to follow the directions to put icons in the correct place. Each book has eight different pictures to place appropriately in the book. As part of the preparation process, you will want to add multiple pieces of velcro to ensure students demonstrate understanding by their specific placement of the icons.
The other two books require your students to complete a sentence. Each sentence is simple, such as "The owl is ______ the pumpkin." A picture is provided to help the students understand the sentence.
These books, while requiring some prep work, are a versatile resource that you can use year after year. They are a highly motivating activity for students with a variety of skill levels, empowering you to use them for direct instruction, independent practice, student share outs, or with your Classroom Aides.

Have fun counting with Adapted Books. Work with your students on on counting #1-10, 1-1 correspondence, and number identification with this set of four books. This set also focuses on the color PURPLE - purple items, purple blocks, purple 10 frames!
These interactive books provide opportunities for students to identify and utilize numbers on each page. These books require some prep work; however, once made, you can use them year after year! They utilize limited color ink for easy printing.
Book 1: Counting Purple Blocks - Count the blocks from 1-10
Book 2: Counting Purple 10 Frames - Use 10 frames to identify how many!
