This guided descriptive essay asks students to describe a nutcracker. There are three separate options to use based on the level and ability of your students.

Option 1: A full five-paragraph essay with three body paragraphs and an introduction and conclusion are required. This includes a planning page, a student requirement page, and a rubric.

Option 2: A fill-in-the-blank essay is used for young writers learning to spell and write. It includes a planning page, a student-required description, and a nutcracker to color according to the description.

An optional presentation extension is available for students to create a project based on architecture, dress, or food research done on their report.
