1. Writing prompt: Students will identify how they’re feeling and why. 
2. Feelings Jar: They’ll have the opportunity to draw what causes certain feelings for them.
3. Symmetrical drawing: Students will get to complete the image of the color monster

Read the book to your students and have them discuss what they’ve heard. Following the discussion, present the activities to them. Can be great for small groups, 1:1 sessions, or whole class.

This activity is great for younger elementary students who are getting an introduction to all things kindness and all of the different ways that they can show kindness to others! For this activity, you will need string and scissor to help make it the most successful! My students LOVED being able to put their very own pocket together! I love the hands-on lessons as much as they do!

Know Your Impact Activity (High School)

"Caught Ya Being Respectful" is a fun and engaging activity that not only gets students talking about being respectful and what that looks like, but it also encourages them to make connections of people (that they know and often admire!) that are showing respect around them as well! This activity includes everything needed for your next classroom lesson on respect, including two worksheets (Wanted Poster and Bonus Activity!) as well as different ideas that you can do with the finished products! My students LOVED this and it was fun for our teachers to see the outcome as well. We got a lot of learning and laughs out of this activity!

"Building" a safe, healthy, and happy learning environment starts with the people that we share it with! In this activity, students take on the opportunity of working effectively with others, thinking creatively, communicating respectfully, and cooperation with others all built into one activity! This is a blast for the whole class - all while focusing on so many important SEL skills. This activity includes minimal preparation yet all the benefits of so many social emotional learning skills to build (pun intended!) My students did not want this activity to end!!

"So You Think You Know Directions?!" is an absolute hit for my students! Prepare for a fun, engaging, and new favorite classroom activity for all! This activity focuses on multiple social emotional learning topics - attentive listening, awareness, team building, perseverance, respectful communication, and SO much more ALL in ONE activity! This digital download comes with everything you need for your next classroom lesson - detailed instructions, ready-to-print cards, and a guide for the teacher! Your students will all work together to complete one goal - get from person #1 to the last person, without skipping anyone in between! Each card comes with a different task that each student will be asked to complete. This interactive SEL classroom lesson provides fun and engagement for the entire class, while reminding them that everyone (including Disney characters!) uses growth mindset and gratitude in their roles - just as we should do! This activity will have students using creative thinking skills, communication, growth mindset, and so much more! I use Disney characters as most are familiar with many of the characters and it is fun to see their faces light up when they get it correct. One of the magical moments with this lesson is seeing how easily they connect with the Disney characters when reflecting afterwards. Though we wish otherwise, grief is a topic that cannot always be avoided, even at a young age. This curriculum offers materials for SIX WEEKS of meetings, discussions, and activities. This curriculum is designed to fit the needs of middle school students (grades 5-8), though it can easily be tailored or adjusted to fit many different age ranges. Leadership Lessons from Disney Characters SEL Lesson puts a whole new meaning to interactive, meaningful, and fun for all! In this lesson, the students will work to ask intentional questions in order to figure out the character in several rounds of "Who is It?!" while also learning and reflecting from moments in which Disney characters demonstrated leadership in their movies! This lesson includes the complete Google Slide download and reflection questions and is ready to go for your next leadership lesson. 12 characters and quotes ready to go, specific instructions, + reflection questions to follow. My students loved this and the conversation that followed was great, too!!

Students will use this St. Patrick's Day mindfulness activity, to write about what brings them good fortune (luck) and happiness. Students will cut out the shamrocks or gold coins will write their responses on each one. Students can then glue the shamrocks or gold coins on or around the pot of gold or the rainbow.
