Activities included:
- Writing prompt: Students will identify how they’re feeling and why.
- Feelings Jar: They’ll have the opportunity to draw what causes certain feelings for them.
- Symmetrical drawing: Students will get to complete the image of the color monster
- Coloring page
Read the book to your students and have them discuss what they’ve heard. Following the discussion, present the activities to them. Can be great for small groups, 1:1 sessions, or whole class.

My Self-Esteem Spider Web - Counseling - CBT Affirmation - SPANISH VERSION

This Mini-Lesson explores positive self talk which is the key to building self esteem.. Persistent low self-esteem can impact an individual's life in many ways. The constant exposure to negative feelings can trigger depression, anger, guilt, shame, anxiety or sadness. These emotions can feel overwhelming at times.
One way that can really help is to change the negative self-talk into positive self-talk. This in turns help to build self-esteem. By improving self-esteem, the student is better able to emotionally regulate which serves to improve many areas of their lives. This mini-lesson serves to change the negative self-talk scripts that students often gravitate towards and move to a more positive and constructive self-talk script.
The example of a spider and its web is used. The more you tell yourself NEGATIVE self-talk, the more it will stick. The more you tell yourself positive self-talk, the more it will stick. Just like a spider catching food in it’s web. Once it’s caught…it's hard to get out. So, the students are empowered to make a choice - to have either positive or negative self talk stuck in their web!
This resource includes many self-talk affirmations and scripts that the students can read and include on their own “self-esteem” spider web. They can choose which ones they want to apply to them. Included are a couple of reflective exercise activity sheets to help students to reflect and gain insight into what is happening for them. This is a great resource for students who would like to explore self-talk and self-esteem!

This product includes 2 social stories that focus on interrupting conversations with others, having a conversation with others, the importance of turn taking when engaging in a conversation, working together with others, giving others a voice to share their ideas/opinions, what those that you are having a conversation with may think or feel about you interrupting, what happens when people interrupt, and trying your best.
Each short story includes comprehension questions throughout. "So You Think You Know Directions?!" is an absolute hit for my students! Prepare for a fun, engaging, and new favorite classroom activity for all! This activity focuses on multiple social emotional learning topics - attentive listening, awareness, team building, perseverance, respectful communication, and SO much more ALL in ONE activity! This digital download comes with everything you need for your next classroom lesson - detailed instructions, ready-to-print cards, and a guide for the teacher! Your students will all work together to complete one goal - get from person #1 to the last person, without skipping anyone in between! Each card comes with a different task that each student will be asked to complete. The cards must be completed in order, but you are only able to know what is on your card and no one else's and participants aren't able to talk (cue the attentiveness!) Resolving Conflict Adapted Notes

This product focuses on the following areas - resolving conflict - what is conflict? communication skills and conflict and how they connect with each other, best ways to communicate with others in a healthful way, the steps that should be taken when resolving conflict, getting a long with others and how that helps to avoid conflict, tips that help you get along with others, how gossip causes harm and what kind of harm it can cause. Throughout the product, comprehension questions are asked to ensure students understand what is being discussed.
4 conflict examples are provided in this product. Students will answer comprehension questions regarding each conflict. They can also discuss their response with a partner or in a group once they are finished answering each question. Students will also be required to make up a conflict - one that really happened or one that they are making up and write about how they would solve that conflict by following the steps that should be taken to resolve a conflict.
