- Feelings Jar: They’ll have the opportunity to draw what causes certain feelings for them.
- Symmetrical drawing: Students will get to complete the image of the color monster
- Coloring page
Read the book to your students and have them discuss what they’ve heard. Following the discussion, present the activities to them. Can be great for small groups, 1:1 sessions, or whole class.

This product includes 2 social stories that focus on feeling fearful or scared. The 3rd social story in this product focuses on feeling worried/nervous. Each short story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters who are experiencing a problem. Students will review what feeling scared means, what can scare us, what you may do when you feel scared, how to handle situations where we feel scared, the difference between feeling scared and worried, and how to face our fears. Examples of feeling scared, worried/nervous are included in this product.

My Self-Esteem Spider Web - Counseling - CBT Affirmation - SPANISH VERSION

This Mini-Lesson explores positive self talk which is the key to building self esteem.. Persistent low self-esteem can impact an individual's life in many ways. The constant exposure to negative feelings can trigger depression, anger, guilt, shame, anxiety or sadness. These emotions can feel overwhelming at times.
One way that can really help is to change the negative self-talk into positive self-talk. This in turns help to build self-esteem. By improving self-esteem, the student is better able to emotionally regulate which serves to improve many areas of their lives. This mini-lesson serves to change the negative self-talk scripts that students often gravitate towards and move to a more positive and constructive self-talk script.
The example of a spider and its web is used. The more you tell yourself NEGATIVE self-talk, the more it will stick. The more you tell yourself positive self-talk, the more it will stick. Just like a spider catching food in it’s web. Once it’s caught…it's hard to get out. So, the students are empowered to make a choice - to have either positive or negative self talk stuck in their web!
This resource includes many self-talk affirmations and scripts that the students can read and include on their own “self-esteem” spider web. They can choose which ones they want to apply to them. Included are a couple of reflective exercise activity sheets to help students to reflect and gain insight into what is happening for them. This is a great resource for students who would like to explore self-talk and self-esteem!

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on meeting and making a new student feel welcome, and accepting a new student. The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters who are experiencing a problem. When students meet a new student they can practice communication skills and practice how they would make the student feel welcome and can also think about how they would feel moving to a new place and going to a new school where they didn't know anyone. The vocabulary word - acceptance is reviewed, the feelings students may feel if they were to start a new school, and what students can say and do when a new student goes to their school. This product also encouraged students to accept their peers for who they are and why it is important to do so.

Feeling Included and Excluded Social Stories

This product includes 2 social stories - one that focuses on including others and one that focuses on excluding others. Therefore, students will see the difference between including their friends, family, cousins, etc. and excluding them, and how that feels.
Students will learn about the following: included and excluded and what these words mean, the tenses they are used in, an example of each in a sentence, the vocabulary word and its means - jumping to conclusions, because that can easily happen when someone may feel excluded from something, how you may feel when you are included or excluded, and what to do when you feel excluded to feel better.
The social stories include comprehension questions that relate with the feeling included and feeling excluded social stories. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters when they feel included or excluded by a friend, cousin, or family member.

This interactive, fun, and lighthearted activity is made for a creative way to discuss identity and the growth and change that comes with becoming who we hope to be and the impact we hope to make. The movie discusses problem solving skills, following rules, working together, growing up, finding yourself, making decisions, and being a good friend. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the movie as well as students own experiences. SELF ESTEEM SMOOTHIE ACTIVITY - Creative Therapy CBT DBT

This is a fun, engaging, creative and non-threatening intervention which is great for students to explore self-esteem. In particular, self-confidence, identify, feeling of belonging and feeling of competence.
What to do?
1.Encourage students to explore each of the 24 realistic scenarios on each page and reflect on how that scenario would make them feel. This also encourages self-compassion and consideration of feelings and actions as they resonate with each scenario.
2.The next step is for the students to explore the “Self-Esteem Ingredients” list and tick what self-esteem strategy they could employ and use for that particular scenario. This helps students to reflect, explore and gain insight into their own feelings and behaviours.
3.Students then put those ingredients into the “blender” which is located on each page to cement the lesson. There are 20 visuals for already developed self-esteem and confidence strategies which students can utilize. There are an addition 12 blank visual cards for students to explore some of their own individual and unique self-esteem strategies that work for them.
4.Lastly, students can create a name for that particular self-care smoothie. This heightens the learning outcomes and students become more likely to explore and employ these self-care strategies within their everyday life.
