This articulation resource was created in order to help Speech Language Pathologists target speech sounds at the sentence and conversational level. This is a great resource to encourage generalization and carryover of sounds in speech for a variety of phonological process We know that some sounds can be a very difficult to teach, so let's make it fun to practice. How to Teach Before & After Following Directions Visual Aid - Speech Therapy

Teach speech language therapy students or English language learners how to follow 2-step directions containing Before and After! These visual aids and teaching scripts provide a simple way to teach following 2-step directions with these temporal concepts, improving comprehension of multi-step directions.
The Before Beaver teaches students that any direction following the word "before" will come second. We teach this by showing students that anything in the Beaver's tail comes second, because the tail is the second part of its body.
The After Alligator teaches students that any direction following with word "after" will come first. We teach this by showing students that anything in the Alligator's mouth will come first, because the mouth is the first part of its body.
These fun visual strips will keep students engaged while learning to follow these 2-step directions. Smaller visual cards are included to provide even more visual support within the Beaver and Alligator visuals, by placing the cards in the tail or mouth while attempting to follow directions.
