Multiplication Fact Booklets

By The Chatty Kinder

Click on Preview to get a FREE copy of 2 Facts Multiplication Booklet!

These multiplication fact booklets can be used to help students understand the concept of multiplication through repeated addition using equal groups as well as help them memorize multiplication facts. Check out the blog post here for more information on the booklets.

The previous set of multiplication booklets was winter themed, while this new set is not holiday/season themed making it suitable for use anytime during the year.

I have made use of cute clipart such as ducks, aliens, gumballs, cookies and donuts to make learning the multiplication facts fun.

There are 12 total booklets (1 facts-12 facts) that are each seven pages long and are cut into half to make a booklet that's 14 pages in total. Each booklet also contains a facts page for the multiplication fact so the student can refer to it if necessary. Check out the blog post about these booklets here.

On each page students will fill in the blanks for the following details:

  • number of equal groups
  • number of counting items for the groups shown (e.g. number of donuts in each box, number of fish in the bowl, etc)
  • write the repeated addition equation for the groups shown (not present in the 1's fact booklet) and add up the total. There is one blank for each group, so the 12 booklet has 12 blanks to fill.
  • number of groups of counting items (e.g. 3 groups of 4, or 5 groups of 6 and so on)
  • Finally, they will write the multiplication statement. This will help them to connect the repeated addition equation to the multiplication fact that they have written down and the answers can be compared to check whether they are the same.

The booklets can be used as morning work, bell work, extra activities for early finishers, or even homework. The booklets come in one version, for front only copies.

Teaching students these multiplication foundations, is a tremendous help to students as they work on math fluency and automaticity.

Check out the preview to see a full copy of the 2 facts booklet included to make sure it is what you need. This is the complete set of the 2 facts booklet, so feel free to use this, to sample out whether this product will work for you.

Classroom Transformation Decor - Doctor Transformation Activity

By Professional Development and Teacher Prep

Need a Creative Idea for a Classroom Transformation or Math Activity?

Transform your classroom into a Surgery Room and get your students excited about learning math in a hands-on, interactive way! In this fun and engaging activity, students become “surgeons” and wheel numbers into surgery to cut, glue, and piece together expanded notation or compare numbers.

Here’s How It Works:

  1. Room Transformation: Set the stage by transforming your classroom into a surgery room! You can use simple decorations like plastic tablecloths, surgical masks, and gloves to create an immersive experience for your students.
  2. Expanded Numbers Surgery: Students will “operate” on numbers by cutting them out and gluing them onto large pieces of paper to show expanded notation. They’ll add zeros to the hundreds and tens places to break down numbers visually. For example:
  • 345 becomes 300 + 40 + 5
  1. Comparing Numbers Surgery: Alternatively, you can have students work on the skill of comparing numbers. They’ll paste numbers side by side, leaving space to add a less than, greater than, or equal sign between them. For example:
  • 450 > 300
  1. Hands-On Learning: Students love the hands-on aspect of cutting and pasting, which makes math concepts more tangible. This activity is perfect for visual and kinesthetic learners, helping them grasp number comparisons and expanded notation in a memorable way.

Ideas for Use:

  • Classroom Transformation Day: Use this activity as part of a larger room transformation for a fun and immersive review session.
  • Math Centers: It can also be adapted for math centers or small group instruction, where students can work independently or in pairs.
  • Review or Stand-Alone Activity: If you’re short on time, the activity can be used as a stand-alone lesson without transforming the classroom.

What’s Included:

  • Detailed directions and additional picture examples to guide you through the setup.
  • Clear instructions on how to facilitate both the expanded numbers and number comparison activities.

Get ready to “wheel numbers into surgery” and make math class unforgettable for your students! If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out!

5th Grade Algebra Review Game - Game Show Style

By The M-Intercept

Students will love this Jeopardy-like review game to review all 5th Grade Operations and Algebraic Thinking standards. Questions focus on solving expressions, writing expressions, equivalent expressions, analyzing patterns, mixed review, and key vocabulary words. Points range from 100 - 500, which reflect the increase in difficulty throughout each category.

**FULLY EDITABLE** While the game is complete, it is also editable in PowerPoint, making it easy to add questions or change the level of difficulty based on your students' needs.

The game includes 30 high quality questions - 6 categories with 5 questions each ranging in
difficulty from basic review (100) to challenging (500)

Solve Expressions: these questions require students to solve equations using the order of operations. All expressions are straightforward whole numbers, except the 500 point question, which has fractions.

Write Expressions: this category asks students to write expressions from phrases such as "nine more than six" and then increases in difficulty to writing an expression to match a real-world problem.

Equivalent Expressions: students are asked about whether or not expressions are equivalent based on the order of operations, use of parentheses and different ways to display division symbols.

Analyze Patterns: these questions involve continuing a pattern such as "add 8" and continue on to questions matching real-world situations. Some questions require reading and/or using a table or the coordinate plane.

Mixed Review: students are asked computation problems to review adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, as well as questions involving place value.

Vocabulary: this section asks about parentheses, expressions, evaluating, x and y coordinates, and corresponding terms.
