This Math Activity can be used many different ways to suit the needs of your class, here are a few ideas:

1. Math Around the Room – cut cards out individually and hang around the room, students take recording sheet on a clipboard around the room and copy problems then fill in the missing parts. (sometimes its great to let the students move about the room)

Competitive, fun division practice:

My students get excited by any activity that is competitive. This game allows students to practice dividing with two digit divisors while trying to reach the end first. This game has a fun theme that can relate to Halloween.

Both players can work each problem to check one another's quotients. Students could also check their partner's quotient using a calculator. This approach would help student practice calculator skills as well as division skills.

This worksheet aims to enhance students' understanding of the connection between decimals and fractions using visual models. It emphasizes place value and demonstrates how decimals can be expressed as fractions through tools like base-ten blocks, grids, and other visual aids.

Students will receive various decimal numbers (up to the hundredths or thousandths place) and will represent these decimals as fractions. Each problem includes a visual model to illustrate the relationship between the decimal and its corresponding fraction (for example, 0.25 represented as 25 out of 100 shaded squares on a grid, illustrating the fraction 25/100).

Key skills developed through this worksheet include:

• Grasping place value (tenths, hundredths, thousandths, etc.)
• Converting decimals to fractions
• Utilizing visual models to understand decimal-fraction equivalency

This resource is a self checking task card scavenger hunt that works on 3 digit by 1 digit long division, (both with and without remainders). This resource could be done by students independently or within a group to supplement classroom content, practice for classroom assessments or state tests, or used as used as a review. Students will love the challenge and stay engaged in the task!

Students can begin at any task card; they must write the task card letter in the circle in the first box on the student work page. They complete the equation on that task card and record their work in the box on the work page. They will know that their answer is correct by finding that specific answer in the "Previous Answer" section on another task card. That one would be the next task card in their sequence and they would repeat the process until they have completed all task cards. The last task card should lead them back to the original one that they started with. **If their answer is NOT found on any of the task cards under the "Previous Answer" sections, students will know that their answer is incorrect and they need to try again.

Step by step directions, (with pictures), are included as well as an answer key with every possible correct sequence that students could have depending on which task card they start with.

Place Value. The backbone of our number system. Here are three place value games for helping students master determining place value of a number, for comparing values within each place, and for assisting students in determining when a number is greater or smaller than another. Each game is very low prep - Just print (laminate if you wish), cut apart, and play! Included in this set are Lock It In, Hangman, and Build A Number, all three games which have students use digit cards (or playing cards if you prefer) to build numbers and compete to see who has the highest number.
