20 Questions French Game - La Saint Patrick - St. Patrick's Day Game - Printable

By Love Learning Languages - French Resources

20 Questions French Game - La Saint Patrick - St. Patrick's Day Game - Printable Use this game to have students practice forming questions and speaking French using vocabulary for St. Patrick's Day in French. No prep, just print and you're ready to go! Included: French and English version French only version Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and do a whole class activity. This game includes 40 words. Many of the words will be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word. EST-CE QUE……. … tu es une personne? … tu es un animal? … tu es un minéral? … tu es un endroit? … tu es un aliment? … tu es une plante? … tu es un objet? The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: OUI - NON - PARFOIS - RAREMENT - GÉNÉRALEMENT - PEUT-ÊTRE - CELA DÉPEND - PROBABLEMENT Alternative game play: To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

Math Mystery- Case of the Leprechaun's Lost Loot (Area)

By Miss Yous Clues and Resources

This is a math mystery that is specifically aligned to the 3rd grade Engage NY and Eureka math module 4 on area. This resource would also be a great for review of area for 4th grade students prior to the state test. Area concepts practiced in this are: determining multiplying length x width, determining area using tiling, finding the missing side length, find area of irregular shapes by decomposing rectangles and area word problems.

This resource would be great to use as a review before the end of module assessment, before state tests, as a math lesson to leave for a substitute teacher, uses individual clues as daily center work over the course of a week, etc.

My students absolutely love doing these! They especially love predicting who the culprit is prior to beginning the clues to see if they could guess it correctly!

Comparing Fractions Digital Puzzle and Self Checking (Lucky Loot)

By Miss Yous Clues and Resources

This product is a digital puzzle that requires students to complete 25 comparing fractions equations with different denominators. The link to the digital puzzle is on a clickable PDF that you would download once purchased. Students will put the symbols, <,>, or = in the answer box. This activity is no prep and is self checking. If the student puts the correct answer in, the answer box will turn green and a piece of the digital puzzle will appear in the green box to the right. Students will know that they have completed the activity correctly when all answer boxes are green and all 25 puzzle pieces are there, forming a picture of a leprechaun. Also included are work pages for students to use while they are completing the digital puzzle. Students can choose between work pages that have "the butterfly method" in all of the boxes or blank pages allowing students to use whatever method for comparison that they want.

This product would be great for fast finishers, independent practice, a time filler activity, day before break activity, center work, etc. Students will love this activity and the challenge of completing the puzzle!
