This is a fun and silly St. Patrick's Day activity to get your students writing. They can read the poem Five Crazy Leprechauns and then create their own little poem. There is a page that lays out the way to write the poem. Students will need to know what an adjective and verb is. If you have older students and want to extend it for them print the 'Create your own Leprechaun Poem' table twice and have the students start at 10 leprechauns. You can choose whether your students have to rhyme or if it is a free style poem. There are so many ways you can use this in the classroom. Included is also a cute page for them to write their own poem on.

The fun Morning Meeting questions can be utilized along with your greeting and other activities.  The spring Morning Meeting questions should be used during the month of March with your students but could be used during other months too. 

There are Mardi Gras questions, St. Patrick Days questions, Women's History questions, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing questions to celebrate the different holidays in March. All of the questions are on Google Slides that can be used every morning during your Morning Meeting routine. All you have to do is bring up the next Google Slide each morning for that day. ♣ Print out 1 mystery picture per student.

♣ Students cut up the answer tiles and then place them on the correct question tiles to match the words with the definitions.

♣ They can glue the question tiles onto the answer tiles and color the picture too.

St. Patrick's Day Sudoku

♣ Print out 1 sudoku per student.

♣ Students cut off the right side of the sheet along the dotted line and cut out the missing sudoku pictures. They glue them into the sudoku grid so that all 6 words appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame.

♣ Each word must appear in each row, column and 2x3 frame only once.

♣ Check with the whole class - students have to name in English all pictures in the given row, column or 2x3 frame.
