Build a Classical Superhero! Each activity uses the students initial(s) to decode a music-inspired name, instrument, and theme song. Great for a back to school, mini class activity, or a music center.

The objective is to assemble a variety of musical qualities for the hero. Each superhero will have a different story, briefly told through their theme song and other choices. Creative writing or storytelling is encouraged.

Full-color pages for music centers/activities are included, with a variety of design and color options provided. The black & white version is also included.

What's Inside:

• Instruction Page An easy to follow guide of how to build a superhero is provided.
• Superhero Name Generator - Students use their first and last initials to generate a unique hero name. There are two choices per box to choose from - which adds variety if a student has the same first & last initials. The names are from classical composers and are not gender specific.
• Superhero Instrument Sounds - Will their superhero arrive with a loud trumpet blast or a soothing violin? The first letter of their name will lead them to the answer.
• Find Your Superhero Theme! - Every hero needs a theme, and a musical superhero is no exception. Each letter is associated with a popular classical music piece; making their themes easier to identify. A superhero theme will range from Bach'shauntingly beautiful "Toccata and Fugue" to the inspiring "Morning Mood" by Grieg.

Time Capsule Treasures: A Blast from the Past and a Peek into the Future!

Are you ready to bury some amazing memories? This year-end activity sheet is your chance to create a time capsule filled with treasures that tell the story of YOU in 3rd-5th grade!

Get ready to explore the adventures of the year with these fun activities:

1. Double Take!: Draw a picture of yourself at the beginning of the year and now. Have you grown taller? Changed your hairstyle? See how much you've transformed!
2. Learning Machine: What awesome things did you learn this year? Write down 3 subjects that made you say "Aha!"

These end-of-year award certificates are conveniently in black and white for easy, no-prep, no expense printing. 30 eye catching awards in 2 different themes means there are 60 awards to choose. You can print on white paper, coloured paper, coloured cardstock, or have students colour them in themselves. My decision to do this is in response to so many teachers having strict colour printing budgets at their schools. I wanted to find an economical way of printing these, so teachers did not have to break the bank!

What to do:

Make copies of the awards that you would like to use, either by printing an entire set or by selecting the ones you want for printing.

Insert colour paper, white paper, or cardstock for easy printing

Fill in the child’s name that you would like to honour for the award along with date and your name.

A fun activity which requires students to walk around and talk to each other. There are a total of 30 cards. A great way for students to learn about one another and remember classmates.
