This is a printable Valentine's Day activity with little prep. All you need is a box of conversation hearts for each student. They will use their conversation hearts to write the total fractions of each color and each saying. Once they have written the fractions they will then answer a few questions about their fractions. It's a simple and fun activity that is perfect for a Valentine's Day center.

Cartoon Last Character Standing

Students will be given a list of Cartoon Characters to see how their characters are eliminated over a 10 day period during the Last Character Standing Games. They will be given a pair of dice that will be used to determine if the character moves on to the next day or if they are eliminated. If you plan to use this resource as an interactive activity, be sure to have students cut out the definitions before providing them with the vocabulary words. This ensures that they actively engage with the material rather than having the answers readily available.

This equivalent fractions matching puzzle is a fun way to test students ability to recognise equivalent fractions. It contains 18 puzzles including all base fractions up to four- fths, each with equivalents both in image and number form. It is designed to be easily cut with little wastage. So either the teacher or tutor can prepare the cards by cutting them before hand, or students can cut their own cards, giving them a chance to see the solutions before they attempt the puzzle. Although this product is made in colour, it prints perfectly well in black and white. Each puzzle is the size of an A4 of US Letter sheet. To use less paper, select the pages per sheet option, and the puzzles will be smaller, but still high quality.

This is a fun activity for students to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and simplification of fractions by converting measurements for a recipe! The recipe comes from Sally's Baking Addiction, and it is her Peanut Butter Bars Recipe. This can be done as a whole group, in small groups, or by individual students. If you have the ability to have the students make the recipe after solving the puzzle, it is totally worth it! They will love being able to make something that they solved a puzzle for and have a delicious treat afterwards.

Students will be given a list of ingredients that have "weird" measurements on them. They will need to convert all of the measurements into the simplest form. Students will have to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions from improper fractions to mixed numbers and put all of the measurements into simplest form. Once students solve the puzzle and get the correct answers that match the answer key, then they will receive the steps to prepare the Peanut Butter Bars/Cups. ** I recommend doing the bars. They are definitely easier to do, especially in a classroom setting, but the cups do look better. They both taste the same though.**

Easy way to practice fractions of a set & comparing fractions with students? Use this easy no prep digital activity! Designed for use with Google Slides.

This maze worksheet is great to distribute for classwork, homework, math centers, early finishers, or extra practice. These mazes are designed so the student is able to work out each multiplication fraction problem so they can determine the correct direction to complete the maze. It is also designed for easy grading for the teacher.
