Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!\x3Cli>\x3Cp>Use one card a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet or discuss and use the Google Slides as a class.\x3Cli>\x3Cp>Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.\x3Cli>\x3Cp>Ideally the goal is to do one challenge a day, but you could certainly allow students to do more than one.\x3C/ul>\x3Cp>**********************************************************\x3Cp>\x3Cstrong>Why do I think you will love this product, and what makes my challenge set unique?\x3C/strong>\x3Cp>I love silly stories that bring humor and adventure to life for kids, but also that force them to use their imaginations in fun and exciting ways. This challenge task set does exactly that through the loose wacky stories where they are the main character. Silly scenarios, adventure and disaster, problem solving, and learning, are all part of the experience when building these challenges.\x3Cp>Most building challenge task cards are independent from each other. “Build a boat,” or “build an airplane,” are common themes among the cards. While those are fantastic, and we have done many of them ourselves, I wanted to do something different and more cohesive and engaging for kids.\x3Cp>\x3Cstrong>The only rule is to HAVE FUN and allow those imaginations to soar!\x3C/strong>\x3Cp>\x3Cem>**Please note that while the intent is for these to be independent, early readers may need some assistance in reading the cards.**\x3C/em>\x3Cp>\x3Cem>**This is not an editable document.**\x3C/em>\x3Cp>Don't forget to leave a review to get your TeachShare credits, and to follow my shop, Teaching Dinos HERE\x3Cp>Follow Teaching Dinos on Pinterest HERE\x3Cp>Follow Teaching Dinos on Instagram HERE\x3Cp>Hashtag your student’s creations using \x3Cstrong>#teachingdinos\x3C/strong>\x3Cp>You may also like:\x3Cp>Day at the Zoo Building Brick Challenge Task Cards\x3Cp>The Wild Robot Building Brick Challenge Task Cards",public:!0,price:"500",displayPrice:null,grades:$R[595]=["Grade 1","Grade 2","Grade 3","Grade 4","Grade 5","Grade 6","Homeschool"],userId:"11579431-fd59-466c-bfda-37106d51fbdd",primaryImage:"https://storage.googleapis.com/teachertoolai-editor.appspot.com/imports%2Fimages%2FDq9VLOBmCGJD_YdM-xw9g",thumbnailImage:"https://storage.googleapis.com/teachertoolai-editor.appspot.com/imports%2Fimages%2FdBtDDWrE4En7uvm4YDC86",secondaryImages:$R[596]=["https://storage.googleapis.com/teachertoolai-editor.appspot.com/imports%2Fimages%2FNv4YJnwtfoVEDxfpPTM3Z","https://storage.googleapis.com/teachertoolai-editor.appspot.com/imports%2Fimages%2FfLmW7wqiXkczuGKGiUU39","https://storage.googleapis.com/teachertoolai-editor.appspot.com/imports%2Fimages%2FUPwtjxV-fJZIrX6916XPf"],isCollection:!1,createdAt:$R[597]=new Date("2024-11-01T16:53:35.722Z"),updatedAt:$R[598]=new Date("2024-11-01T16:53:35.722Z"),rating:"0",ratingsCount:"0",store:$R[599]={id:"0192e89a-14ef-710b-aefa-9d3979a17f45",name:"Teaching Dinos ",icon:"https://storage.googleapis.com/teachertoolai-editor.appspot.com/imports%2Fimages%2FIstOKHEMY9ek_8xskzTWJ",slug:"teaching-dinos"},gradesDisplay:"Grade 1–6, Homeschool",subjects:$R[600]=[$R[601]={id:39,label:"Back to School"},$R[602]={id:144,label:"Problem Solving"},$R[603]={id:178,label:"For All Subject Areas"}],resourceTypes:null,learningStandards:null,reviews:null},$R[604]={id:"01934835-4a16-7a02-aed8-e4116c910746",slug:"Oops-Autumn-Edition-FUN-Taboo-Like-Game-Activity-PDF-with-Online-Version-44589924",title:"Oops Autumn Edition - FUN Taboo-Like Game Activity PDF with Online Version",description:"Bring some seasonal fun into your classroom with **Oops! Paperless Picture of The Day Morning Meeting Work Digital Resources
By Professional Development and Teacher Prep
Do your students need highly engaging morning meeting digital resources or a picture of the day to start off their morning? Morning Meeting Picture Slides are important to utilize to develop strong relationships with students and peer-to-peer relationships. The picture of the day allows for deeper conversations and the building of a strong classroom community, which in turn raises academic achievement skills. The digital resource has many diverse pictures where everyone can feel represented.
How I Use Picture of The Day
We use a picture of the day every morning during our morning meeting routine. The morning meeting slides are projected on our screen for all students to see. Students are asked to infer, visualize, synthesize, and create connections with the picture. Looking closely at a picture is an important reading skill for students to develop to create inferences about what they are reading.
Additionally, The picture of the day can be used for writing prompts or centers. Students can look at the picture and write a story based on the picture.
This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners. You could assign one or more morning meeting slides to their learning management system for morning meetings and writing or reading activities.
“Morning Meeting is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically.” -Responsive Classroom
“Morning meetings are an excellent way to help students transition from home to school and help them get ready to learn. In addition, these meetings can help you connect with your students, help students build relationships with each other, and promote an overall sense of community in the classroom.” -Centervention

Google Slides
************************************************************
How can you use these task cards?
Have the task cards available in makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, or available for early finishers to complete using ANY available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!
Use one card a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet or discuss and use the Google Slides as a class.
Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.
Ideally the goal is to do one challenge a day, but you could certainly allow students to do more than one.
**********************************************************
Why do I think you will love this product, and what makes my challenge set unique?
I love silly stories that bring humor and adventure to life for kids, but also that force them to use their imaginations in fun and exciting ways. This challenge task set does exactly that through the loose wacky stories where they are the main character. Silly scenarios, adventure and disaster, problem solving, and learning, are all part of the experience when building these challenges.
Most building challenge task cards are independent from each other. “Build a boat,” or “build an airplane,” are common themes among the cards. While those are fantastic, and we have done many of them ourselves, I wanted to do something different and more cohesive and engaging for kids.
The only rule is to HAVE FUN and allow those imaginations to soar!
**Please note that while the intent is for these to be independent, early readers may need some assistance in reading the cards.**
**This is not an editable document.**
