Dice Game Getting To Know YOU
In these Getting To Know You games, students will learn about each other while building classroom community. Great for back-to-school, mid-year activities, or a classroom party, these games can be played repeatedly! Meant for 2-5th grade, there are a variety of game boards so you can differentiate instruction.
To consolidate what students have learned, included is a worksheet to then share in writing what they have learned about their new classmate. An additional “All About Me” worksheet is included for your convenience.

Getting To Know You TIC TAC TOE Games TALENTS DARES CHALLENGES
In this engaging classroom community building or back-to-school game, students demonstrate fun talents or complete simple dares and challenges in a race to be the first to complete a row, column, or diagonal on the gameboard. With 4 unique gameboards AND a make-your-own board, you will have hours of fun activities for your students in 2nd-5th grade.
Examples:
Talents: Can you put your elbow in your ear? Can you stand on one leg for 20 seconds?
Challenges: Name 5 types of pets. Name 5 things you can see in the sky.
Dares: Moo like a cow for 5 seconds! Tell a funny joke!

In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.
In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word.
In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about World War II, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed.
In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word. All of the BOOM Cards™ activities are self-marking.

In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Jackie Robinson and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.
In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word.
In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about key events from sport, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed.
