Recording sheets for your students to use while they are using microscopes to make observations. One set of sheets has spaces for your students to draw a picture that they see with the microscope. This is available with and without directions (Preview pages 1 and 2) The other set of sheets has space for your students to draw what the specimen looks like with just their eyes and using the microscope to compare the differences.

The Great Americans Series of Biographies and Worksheets is an easy-to-read 200-word biography of just the highlights of each subject's life designed to keep young readers engaged. The questions worksheet ensures student reading comprehension and grasp of key points. The vocabulary page introduces and explains new words, phrases, and/or institutions students may not have been familiar with. The Quotes page challenges students to write what the quote means to them. The Great Americans Series is available individually or in bundles, making great bell work. An Answer Key is provided with each worksheet.

Need an activity that is engaging, hands on, requires critical thinking and peer collaboration? THIS IS IT! This is a great lab that utilizes all of these and would be great for an observation! This lab will walk through the scientific method steps, research and analyze the properties of water and other liquids. Students can see how the molecules of each liquid will react with substances. Once the experiment is completed and the students have their results, they collaborate with two other groups and record their results to compare. This eliminates having to do the experiment more than once, although I do emphasize that in an experiment, results need to be able to be repeated for it to be considered proven.

This can be used as an introductory lab for water properties for older students.

These Place Value Posters are the perfect addition to your Math's wall. They will assist your students in building the necessary understanding of place value, the foundation of all concepts in mathematics.

In this product, students will learn about thermal energy. In the beginning of the product, matter is reviewed and how matter can be seen in three different forms - solid, liquid, and gas. Students will then review how matter changes. Thermal energy will be introduced in this product. Students will then discuss the meaning of thermal energy, how heat flows from warmer to colder objects and examples will be provided. Students will then be provided with visual examples to help them understand this process. Students will be provided with thermal energy examples and how heat moves. Students will learn there there are different forms of energy such as light, electrical, mechanical, sound, and chemical, and will learn how all of those forms change to thermal energy. Examples along with pictures are provided. Students will also learn the many ways thermal energy is used throughout out day to day life that we don't think about. Throughout the product, students will be asked comprehension questions that include short answer and multiple choice to ensure comprehension.
