I have my students complete their Maya, Aztec, and Inca organizer sheets right after we finish the chapters on each civilization when it is fresh in their minds. This helps my students get their thoughts down on paper and keeps them organized as to the expectations of the project.

I started having students write apology letters when those comments came out. The template is designed to help students think about their intentions, how they likely made the other person feel, and what they will do differently in the future.
