How to Play?

• If some students finish before others, have them revisit previously scanned codes and try solving the problems with a different approach.

Galaxy Exploration is a Board Game that emulates Snakes & Ladders to help students exercise a knowledge of Number Bonds to 10 and 20. However, unlike Snakes & Ladders, we have added some other interesting elements to make a more competitive and fun game overall.

The game pack comes with 6 playable boards. Four are playable with either a 10-sided dice or the included spinner. Two are playable ONLY with a 6-sided dice just in case you need it. Of those six, half do not feature the Black Holes and Portals (Snakes and Ladders) to make a much faster game which is still great for the learning of Number Bonds.

In addition, the boards include 'Habitable Planets' and 'Gravity Slingshots', which force the player to take an extra turn, or miss a turn. A fun change from the norm!

J'utilise ces 27 cartes "J'ai... Qui a ?" une fois que mes élèves sont familiarisés avec les nombres décimaux et sont à l'aise avec les dixièmes, les centièmes et leur valeur de position avec les nombres décimaux.

Si vous n'êtes pas familier, les jeux de cartes "J'ai... Qui a?" sont des activités en grand groupe qui renforcent leur capacité à lire et à dire ce qu'il y a sur les cartes. C'est une excellente activité de révision avant l'évaluation et je l'utilise actuellement avec mes élèves de 5e et 6e année ; mais il pourrait facilement être utilisé en 7e année comme échauffement ou rappel.

Dans ce document de 7 pages, vous trouverez :

• Explication du jeu et comment démarrer avec des exemples.
• 27 cartes pré-créées (9 cartes par feuille) comportant des nombres décimaux représentés dans des grilles en dixièmes et centièmes (jusqu'à 1) y compris les cartes "début" et "fin". This product is a digital puzzle that requires students to complete 50 basic multiplication fact fluency problems. The link to the digital puzzle is on a clickable PDF that you would download once purchased. Students will put the answers in the answer box. This activity is no prep and is self checking. If the student puts the correct answer in, the answer box will turn green and a piece of the digital puzzle will appear in the green box to the right. In addition to this, an emoji pops up next to the correct answer. If the student puts in the wrong answer, the answer box will turn red and no puzzle piece will appear. Students will know that they have completed the activity correctly when all answer boxes are green and all 50 puzzle pieces are there, forming a picture of a hippopotamus playing in a pool/sprinklers in a yard.
