It's time for your child/students to start learning their multiplication facts. The Multiplication Study Booklets are a great collection of booklets that students can create and use nightly to study their facts.

Cet ensemble de 52 cartes flash présente des problèmes écrits sans chiffres, défiant les élèves à associer le langage aux opérations mathématiques de manière dynamique et engageante.

Vos élèves ont-ils du mal à comprendre les problèmes écrits/problèmes écrits pour identifier quelle opération est mise en avant et laquelle ils doivent utiliser pour résoudre les problèmes? J'ai créé cette collection de cartes flash pour travailler la reconnaissance des opérations et se concentrer sur le vocabulaire utilisé. Comme elle se concentre uniquement sur le vocabulaire et inclut aucun chiffre, cette collection de cartes flash est utile pour les élèves à partir du CM1 4e année) et pour ceux qui ont du mal à faire la distinction entre les opérations.

I use this 27-card J'ai... Qui a? Game once my students are familiar with adding decimal numbers and are comfortable with dixièmes, centièmes and their place value with decimal numbers.

If you're unfamiliar, "J'ai... Qui a?" games are whole group activities which reinforce their ability to read and say what's on the cards. This is a great revision activity prior to assessment and I currently use it with my 5th and 6th graders; but it could easily be utilized in grade 7 as a warm-up, or a reach-back.

In this 7-page document, you will find:

• Explanation of the game and how to get started with examples.
• 27 pre-created cards featuring decimal numbers broken down into tenths and hundredths (up to 1) including "start" and "finish" cards. For the "J'ai..." part of the card, students have a standard form, and for the "Qui a..." part of the card, students have a "forme décomposée" written in words.
• 1 page with blank card templates to create your own if you've got more than 27 students in your room, if you'd like to allow your students to create their own version of the game (I teach a split, and let my 6's work on this together while I do small group work and instruction with my 5's).

I print this document single-sided on 8.5" x 11" paper, cut them out, and laminate them to use year after year.

I use this 27-card J'ai... Qui a? Game after my students have become familiar with the terms "rapport partie à partie" and "rapport partie à tout." This card game will require your students to be familiar with the difference, and recognize multiple ways a ratio can be represented in order for this game to be successful!

Students use flashcard-like playing cards and math symbols to match each other's cards. When there is a match, both players shout out the answer to the shown equation, and the fastest player wins!

The catch is, there could be multiple matches in a round when the top cards are taken off, creating a chain reaction of fun!
