Students will also learn about the 6 major fitness skills are, their meanings, and examples - agility, balance, coordination, reaction time, speed, and power, what the President's challenge is and what events are included in this event are all covered. Different kinds of workouts are discussed and reviewed along with examples - low-intensity physical activities, moderate-intensity physical activities, and vigorous-intensity physical activities and how they differ from each other, aerobic activities and examples, the process of a workout is reviewed - the warm up, target heart rate, specific exercises, training, overload, progression, and frequency, and what each of these terms mean. Students will also learn what FIIT means - Frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise, and the importance of setting health goals - students will have time to do this in this product.

In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Jackie Robinson and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.

In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word.

In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about important sporting events in US history, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed.

In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word.

In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Jackie Robinson and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.

In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word.

In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about key events from sport, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed.

In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word. All of the BOOM Cards™ activities are self-marking.
