This creative Watercolor Boat Scene was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked students to brainstorm a boat/vessel that they wanted to have in the water, and water kind of body of water they wanted in their artwork. We discussed Winslow Homer, and his style of art. Students sketched their drawing and painted the larger areas first. Students painted the boat, smaller details and reflections last. Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

These order of operations without exponents matching cards are cute, fun and engaging! Your students will get a set of 32 tree cards and match the top half with the expression to the bottom half with the answer. There are 2 sets of cards. One set has the answers underneath them if you plan on cutting them out for them. The other set has mismatched questions and answers so the students can do the cutting without knowing the answer ahead of time!

All top halves of the cards are numbered so students can show work on their workspace and keep the work organized and make it easier for you to see if they are correct!
