I never seem to have enough time to practice measurement, geometry, and data, so I created these bellringers to quickly practice these skills with my class.

These bellringers are based on “National day of...”. The problems presented cover measurement conversion, geometry (polygons, perimeter, area, volume), data collection and analysis.

This is a digital activity which can be posted each day. Answer sheets are provided in three options. Teachers can choose between sheets with or without reference items.

Directions for Use:

*Students will be given the Word Problem page along with the Pi Symbol Page. These may be printed front to back if you choose.

This activity includes shapes with two columns. One for students to find the correct numbers substituted into the formula correctly, and one with the final answer (area or missing side length). There are several distractor cards that do not match with any of the problems so students have to pay careful attention to make sure they are choosing the correct card.

This also includes an independent follow up worksheet that does not come with cards so students have to write in the formula and answer. It also has several challenging extension problems for students/groups who finish early.
