Les Sports - French Speaking Listening Activity Taboo Game Communication Orale
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
Teaching French sports vocabulary? Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.
To get your students speaking even more about les sports d'été et d'hiver, try out my French Sports Vocabulary Speaking Activity.
All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels! You are going to love hearing your students speaking in French to each other about summer and winter sports.

French Taboo Games Growing Bundle
Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions
Object of the game:
One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.
Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.
This French Taboo vocabulary and speaking game includes the following:
What teachers are saying about my French Taboo Speaking games:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This is exactly what I've been looking for to consolidate and expand vocabulary! I teach a beginners intensive course (IB) as well as intermediate students who've done 2 years of French. Students love being able to guess, even being supported with a dictionary. LOVE the range of levels variety of vocab. Looking forward to the growing nature of this bundle. UN GRAND MERCI!!!" - L.J.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Love this! Great design, great differentiation of playing for lower levels (or higher levels), and love that there are so many topics! Great words included in each one." - Ashley Lefevre
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This is a great supplement for multi-level classes. I have students who are francophone and students who have never taken a French class before this year, so a resource like this is very much appreciated." - Missalineous
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Absolutely loved this and so did my kids. Vocabulary is a weak spot so this is a great resource to help build school related vocabulary. Taboo is awesome!" - Classroom of a Caper
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "A great way to make the students use different vocab to express their ideas!" - Made by Mademoiselle
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "It was sooo good when I used it in my French class. I teach English and French in Spain and I'm decided to use it in both subjects for the coming year. I needed two lessons because the students had so much fun that they asked me to play another day!" - Ester B.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Thank you! I like how there is a beginner version of the game - perfect for my core French students!" - Janesse M.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This is my second set of Taboo cards from Love Learning Languages, as the first round with reflexive verbs was a huge hit. Kids again enjoyed this review of vocabulary terms. This can be differentiated for students at various levels of confidence and ability." - Rebecca C.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This was a very useful resource to purchase and I would recommend it to any junior teacher! Everything you needed was there and it was very organized resource. Looking forward to using it again this year!" - Kathleen E.

French Numbers 0 - 100 - Calculez en Français
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
This French numbers dictée lesson is very comprehensive and will challenge students in a fun and meaningful way with 5 different activities to practice and master French numbers once and for all.
This resource is included in my Ça y est, je parle français French 1 & 2 curriculum bundle!
This product includes (see preview for more details):
1. Numbers 0-50 chart, PDF
2. Numbers 51-100 chart, PDF
3. Dictée, MP3: 20 random numbers + student response sheet + answer key
4. Dictée, MP3: 50 simple math equations + student response sheet + answer key
5. Quizlet study set: 0-50
6. Quizlet study set: 51-100
7. Quizlet study set: Multiplication tables 2-10
8. How to use this lesson
Dictée #1 : This dictée is less than 3 minutes. Give each student a response sheet.
Students listen to the dictée and write the number they hear both as words and digits.
Dictée #2 : This dictée lasts about 10 minutes and requires a lot of concentration. It is called CALCUL RAPIDE. Students hear 50 simple math equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Technically students as young as 9 or 10 should be able to do the math. I got this idea from my daughter’s 3rd grade class in France (CE2). Of course, being in French makes “simple math” a lot more difficult and will challenge even high school age non-native speakers.

➤ Print, cut out, laminate , punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.
➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.
➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements.
➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.
➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.
➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included.
➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.
➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays.
➤ Great resource for tutoring sessions and vocabulary building.

French École School Speaking Listening Activity Taboo Game Communication Orale
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
Teaching French école - school vocabulary? Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.
To get your students speaking even more about l'école et les cours, try out my French School Speaking Activity - L'école et les cours.
All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels! You are going to love hearing your students speaking in French to each other about school vocabulary.

French Simple Negation Challenge Task Cards Activity
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
50 French Simple Negation Speaking and Listening Cards
This resource includes 50 simple negation speaking cards that you can cut out and have students use in pairs or small groups. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. I've also included a PDF with only one card per page for projecting or using with tablets when you want to do a whole class activity or paired work without printing.
This resource is included in my French Negation Bundle.
On each card there is a question for student #1 to ask to student #2. The assumed answer is written on the card, but students should be reminded that sometimes more than one answer is possible.
Since there are so many cards included, this activity can last a while and give your students an opportunity to really practice a lot.
These are questions and answers to practice simple negation in the present, passé composé and futur proche tenses. Just pull out the ones you're not quite ready to use given your students' current level.
All of these cards use: ➯ ne . . . pas
➯ This resource is included in my Ça y est, je parle français! French 1 curriculum bundle!
