All three of the authors face both positive and negative Peer Pressure that ultimately impact the choices they make as well as their future lives.

This resource is a differentiated writing packet related to Peer Pressure. Students will write about the positive and negative influences of Peer Pressure that the three boys experience. This unit was originally designed for high school English teachers who want to help students improve their analytical writing. Here are some highlights from this 25-page unit on analytical/expository writing:

• The Writing Process (Handout #1): This handout offers several tips about how to choose a topic for an analytical paper on literature. Encourage your students to use the writing process as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the text. (4 pages)

• The Intro Paragraph: Hook & Thesis (Handout #2): In the first page of this handout, students learn to identify and formulate the interpretive questions which they will hope to answer or solve while writing their papers. The challenge of "problem construction" will present most high school students with the opportunity to develop a new and exciting skill — one that will serve them well in college and beyond. In the second and third pages of this handout, students learn to write thesis statements that balance complexity with clarity. • Topic Sentences / Transitional Sentences (Handout #4): This handout offers advice about how students can use transitional expressions to clarify the logical connections between the claims in each of their topic sentences. It includes a list of different types of transitional expressions along with several examples. (2 pages)

• Precepts for Effective Prose (Handout #5): This handout features about a dozen precepts or "rules of thumb" that students should follow when writing academic papers. Hello and welcome!

Are you math teacher and have been thrown into teaching a computer science course? Now you have NO IDEA where to start! Have you taught computer science, but want to try something else? Math and computer science are related, but are not the same!

I have your back. I've been teaching math and computer science, including APCSP, APCSA, and Data Structures for almost two decades. Scratch is a really easy to learn language to learn which makes it perfect for beginners. Block based coding looks very simple at first, but it is just as intricate as a keyed language. The difference is that coders don't need to memorize complex syntax to use it. This makes it perfect for younger kids; but it's still complex enough for older students.

This is part 0 and 1 a semester long programming in Scratch course.

Depending on your style, you could go over the slides as a group, then let students play around. Or you could just give them the slides and assignment and let them go.

Let students explore and make mistakes. Let them talk to each other and discuss their approaches. Programming takes a lot of trial and error and collaboration.

Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels! 

Question cards are perfect for reinforcing grammar, vocabulary, and getting your students to speak French together! Very low prep. Just print and cut out the cards and you're ready to go!

Almost all of the est-ce que questions are asked in the tu form and require students to reply using je. Some of the questions encourage oui and non responses, but never without pushing for a bit more information like asking pourquoi. The questions include le présent, le passé composé et le futur proche.

Teachers know it is important to allow students to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses so they can grow and improve. I created these reflection sheets to make it easy! I simply print these reflections out at the end of each Marking Period and have students reflect on their grade as well as the quality of work they turned in. They then describe how they can improve as we begin the next Marking Period. Reflection sheets are also included in case your school uses Quarters or Trimesters.
