This is a fun geography mini-lesson (60 minutes) that will get your students excited about learning and about the season itself. It will open their eyes to various cultures and religions around the world. Make every moment a teaching moment.

Includes an activity where students get to use digital scanners on their iPad or phones to explore the history behind the Christmas pickle. The scavenger hunt is designed so that students have to revisit and reread the reading passages multiple times when looking for code words. The answer to each question is located on a different reading passage card. Once students have answered all the questions, they unscramble the letters to reveal the final answer - the name of the murderer.
