French BON BIEN MEILLEUR MIEUX - French Challenge Task Cards Activity

By Love Learning Languages - French Resources

French Practice Cards: BON - BIEN - MEILLEUR - MIEUX

This is a set of 25 cards for practicing and mastering BON - BIEN - MEILLEUR - MIEUX. This set of cards uses bon and bien as well as their comparative forms meilleur and mieux, but also a whole lot more (see below). That's why this stack of cards is great for upper-intermediate and even advanced students!

This resource is included in my Bon - Bien - Meilleur - Mieux Bundle.

This resource does not incorporate the superlative. When using meilleur and mieux, we are really focusing on how to say "better" in French. This is always so hard since we use the same word in English whether we are using adverbs or adjectives. I have also made a 45 minute video that you can find on YouTube that would be perfect to show before pulling out these cards which I made specifically to accompany this very comprehensive lesson.

You may also be interested in my other set of cards that also uses the superlative.

Included:

  • Set of 25 cards to print and cut out + answer key
  • Set of the same 25 cards with only one per page for use on tablets or for projecting
  • Student answer recording sheet

This resource is included in my Ça y est, je parle français! French 3 curriculum bundle!

First Day of School "Language Talk"

By Language Arts Excellence

Whether you teach Spanish, French, German, or Mandarin Chinese, this is the perfect lesson to get your students thinking about the purpose of studying foreign languages!

This product features an engaging "Language Talk" activity that will have your new students thinking, writing, speaking, and moving on the very first day of school. In this activity, they must choose between 6 different quotes about the purpose of learning languages and articulate why the quote aligns with their perspective. I use this lesson every year to set the tone for what I expect in class - it is a great way to gain insight about their current attitudes towards speaking another language while they get to know one another with a higher level thinking activity as opposed to the same-old, same-old icebreaker.

Product includes:

  • Comprehensive Lesson Plan
  • "Language" Sheet for students to fill out
  • 6 Corresponding "Language Quote" signs to hang up around your room

Though I utilize this product on the first day of school, it really can be used all year long. I hope that it is as successful in your class as it is in mine!
