High School Grammar Activities

Scattegories is a fun and challenging board game that tests your creativity and quick thinking. I have recreated a classroom version for SPANISH LEARNERS called: ¡PÁREME LA MANO! also called in other countries, TUTTI FRUTI o PARA EL FUEGO. This is a fun game we used to play in school growing up in South America. I have tried in my own classroom and kids LOVE IT! This is such a great game to practice vocabulary and parts of the speech.

This product contains two versions of this game. One for individual play and one for a group game. There are a set of rules for both games but these are just suggested rules as you can set your own depending of the group of kids you teach. Kids will only need a dice, a white board marker and a wiper.

Learning new vocabulary doesn't have to be a dry and boring task! This engaging "Donut Delight" activity sheet transforms vocabulary exploration into a fun and interactive experience for your students.

Sentence diagramming is so helpful when teaching students parts of speech and sentence structure. The repetitiveness of diagramming for a bell ringer is extremely beneficial for students. I tried grammar workbooks for years, but my students hardly retained anything. This Google Doc activity to practice listening comprehension for the Spanish Future Tense can be achieved via distance learning or with in-person students.! The activity contains 2 audio links to descriptions of people's lives in the future. Students can work independently if you assign this activity via Google Classroom (or other learning management platform) for on-line learners and can practice taking notes and answering both multiple choice and an open-ended answer on their own. Another way to do this activity for students is to print the activity sheet for students who are in person to write on. The teacher can read the included script instead of having students play the audio for themselves.

This activity is easily copied/adapted to create a listening assessment!

• Spanish students in Year 2 and up
