These are slides that can be used for instruction with the guided slides to hand out to students. (There is also a video that accompanies these slides)

Each label takes up 1/4 of a page so they are nice and big, but not too obtrusive. There are 28 shapes for a total of 7 pages. Check out the thumbnail and the preview of some pages in the pictures. Shape Up with Apples & Grass: A Fun Learning Game for Kids!

Boost Early Learning Skills Through Play!

5. Take turns placing the apple and grass cutouts beside their corresponding tree shapes.
6. Continue until all trees have their matching apples and grass.

Introduction to Pythagoras' Theorem activities

Level Ups are a fun way for your students to practice or review 8th grade angle relationships in triangles and parallel lines cut by a transversal. Aligned to the common core standards, this Level Ups activity includes 5 differentiated tasks that increase in rigor, covering:

• Triangle Angle Sum Theorem
• Alternate interior angles
• Alternate exterior angles
• Corresponding angles
• Same side interior angles
• Same side exterior angles
• Exterior angles of a triangle

The task cards begin with pre-requisite skills of measuring & naming angles, and working with complementary, supplementary, and vertically opposite angles, then "level up" all the way to finding multiple unknown angles in a large diagram involving parallel lines.

Students start at level zero and work their way up to level 4, giving them accurate feedback on what they have mastered, and what they still need to work on. This lesson works as a great way to review angle relationships, or as preparation for an upcoming assessment.

This activity includes:

• Suggested activity instructions (based on how I run this in my classroom).
• Five levels with 6 - 10 questions each
• Complete answer keys for each level.

My students love "Level Up Day" in my own classroom, and the activity works great as independent practice, a pairs activity, or even group work. I also use this when I need a majority of students working independently while I pull a small group for intervention.
