How/When To Use the Scenario Task Cards

⭐ Role-Playing: Students can collaborate in pairs or groups to act out a variety of scenarios and demonstrate appropriate responses. Role-playing activities can also be used to demonstrate how to appropriately handle or navigate difficult situations associated with anger and self-control. Students can practice and learn the variety of ways they can handle situations that test their ability to control their actions and behaviors. This activity can ultimately improve confidence, communication, and assertiveness skills.

⭐ Icebreaker: This can be a great way to start a meeting, training session, or team-building activity. It’s also a great way to get students to get to know each other and buy into the purpose of an upcoming activity or lesson.

⭐ Play Writing Exercise: Students can work in groups to create skits or scenes then perform the skits for the class.

⭐ Writing Response: Students can be given a scenario to read and then write their responses. Students can switch papers with a partner who then reads their responses and determines whether they agree/disagree with their responses/approaches to these real-life scenarios/ situations. They can evaluate whether or not their approaches to solving problems (despite feelings of anger, frustration, betrayal, etc.) is appropriate or inappropriate and offer other possible solutions and/or suggestions on how to best handle difficult situations and cope with these emotions.

⭐ Discussion: Students can discuss the Scenario Task Cards in groups or whole class. They can discuss things like "What can you do to control your emotions, behavior, actions, etc.", "What healthy coping skills can you use to calm down in situations that make you angry?", etc.

This Functional Literacy Skills - Days of the Week Task Box and Visual Schedule Bundle is the perfect way to help students learn the days of the week as they begin the new school year! This set allows students to learn the days of the week, as well as their order. Students can then generalize this learning by creating and following a weekly schedule.  Task Box activities and Visual Schedule can be laminated and placed in task boxes or file folders, allowing them to be prepped once and reused with all of your students!

This Functional Job Skills - Money Identification Task Box Clip Card set is essential for any Special Education Classroom! This set allows students to practice identifying American coins and bills using clip cards.  These cards can also be laminated and students can circle the correct answer with a dry erase marker.  There are four different levels included to support students as they learn the images (front and back for coins, front only for bills), values, and names of each coin and bill.  The set also comes with a colour and black & white version.  

The Money Identification Task Box Set includes:

• 378 colour clip cards, 378 black & white clip cards
• Level 1 clip cards - Coins (match image front to image front, image back to image back) 
• Level 1 clip cards - Bills (match image to image)
• Level 2 clip cards - Coins  (match image front to back, image back to front) 
• Level 3 - Coins (match image to dollar amount, front and back)
• Level 3 - Bills (match image to dollar amount)
• Level 4 clip cards - Coins (match image to word)
