These sentence diagramming bell ringers will last three full months. This resource contains twelve Google Slide presentations- one for each week. There is also an assessment for the end of week seven, the end of week twelve, and the end of week sixteen to test student knowledge. The daily activities should last 5-10 minutes. EVERYTHING IS EDITABLE.

Sentence diagramming is so helpful when teaching students parts of speech and sentence structure. The repetitiveness of diagramming for a bell ringer is extremely beneficial for students. I tried grammar workbooks for years, but my students hardly retained anything. The Diary of Anne Frank Play READING FLUENCY PRACTICE

This resource should accompany The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Upper elementary, middle school, and high school students need reading fluency practice too, but we don't always think about it at these stages. This editable resource asks students to practice a passage directly from The Diary of Anne Frank and focus on accuracy, pace, expression, and punctuation. Students are asked to practice reading the passage to an adult. I have always had my students record themselves reading the passage at the end of a week, and I grade them using the same rubric that is on this assignment.
Author's Purpose Dice Roll Writing Activity and Rubric

With this activity, students will use a die to determine the format, topic, and purpose to use in their writing assignment. Students should have a solid understanding of what it means for an author to persuade, inform, or entertain before diving in to this activity. A rubric is included. This is meant to be a fun, amusing exercise for students learning about author's purpose. Both the instructions and the rubric come in color and b/w.
