This set of books includes 5 Adaptive Books focusing on color identification. All books have a choice of 8 manipulative pieces. However, differentiation is easy, as you will provide fewer options if needed. The books include colorful grasshoppers, turtles, heroes, & Fish. These books require some prep work; however, once they are laminated & velcroed, they provide extended and repeated practice.

Books 1 & 2: Colorful Grasshoppers & Where is Grasshopper helps students identify colors and place colored grasshoppers in specific locations (under, on, behind, beside, and between). 

Book 3: Friendly Fish provides students with visual prompting to support matching colors. Students will match the Fish to the correct color.

Book 4: Hero Friends utilizes repetitive text "We need a hero wearing _____." Students will select the correct superhero on each page.

Students will listen to a story talking about different areas at school & expected behaviors. Areas include: hallway, arrival, art, classroom, PE, cafeteria & recess.

Book 3: Jobs in my classroom

This book identifies 8 jobs to be completed in the classroom. These jobs include:

• tech support - taking care of computers by plugging in
• botanist - watering class plants
• paper passer - helping teacher pass out and collect papers
• chairs - putting chairs up at end of day / returning to specific areas

Spring Fine Motor Paper Plate Craft Activities

Fun way to work on fine motor and sequencing skills! Following step by step instructions, create adorable color, cut, and paste spring crafts (sheep, frog, butterfly, turtle, ladybug, chick) using provided templates and everyday household materials including paper plates, tissue paper, and cotton balls. Brick Building letters activity for Upper and Lowercase Letters

In this hands on, multisensory activity, students won’t even realize they are learning! In this resource, they will learn letter formation by first building the letters with bricks, coloring the block letter, tracing the letter, and then writing the letter.
