The one minute time limit serves as both a way to keep students on task, and to promote the idea of summarizing key details. This is a great sheet for following directions and coming up with a strategy to follow those directions. It checks reading comprehension and knowing left and right as well. I use it with 6th graders to show how important carefully following directions can be. It could easily be used with younger grades or possibly older grades as well.

Science of Reading Assessment Tool Tracking Sheet

I created a French SOR Assessment tool to cover all the sounds for students K to 3 in the French Immersion setting (Grade 4-6 Core French) for easy assessment and evaluation. Once I got started on my own testing, I realized I could use a quick look tracking sheet.

I learned how to make the boxes editable and hope it works out for you. (I did ask a few colleagues to try it out first). I am offering it FREE for now.

How to use this product:

Brain breaks can be used as transitions, breaks in the middle of an activity, something to raise or lower the energy of the group, team-building activities, and more! It is helpful to use these before fatigue, boredom, distraction, and inattention set in!

Research has indicated that brain breaks can help improve self-efficiency in the learning process. They also improve short-term memory, self-awareness, and the learners' knowledge.

This can be used and modified for 5th grade through 12th grade depending on your students' learning ability.

This BINGO card is a great ice breaker for the first days of Spanish class! Each student receives a card and then moves around the classroom meeting new people and asking questions to get to know them better. When they find someone who can say "Yes" to a box, they will cross it off and write that person's name on it. The first person to get a BINGO reads their card out loud so the class can get to know their new friends as well!

This activity is designed for students with no previous Spanish knowledge (MS Spanish, Intro to Languages, Foundations of Spanish, and Spanish I), but my returning Spanish 2 students loved it as well. This card is in English for beginning Spanish learners.
