Engaging Competition:

Students will engage in friendly competition as they practice placing coordinates on a four quadrant coordinate plane. Based on the connect the dots to form a square game, students roll dice to establish coordinates to plot to make their square. Students make a spinner with a paper clip to assign positive or negative to each coordinate.

Students are engaged in creating squares to claim as their own to win the competition while practicing their coordinate plane skills.

My students enjoyed the competition of completing a square while trying to block their opponent.

Sick of the timed tests for division math facts? Try this fun division dice game to practice those division math facts instead. These fun games allow students to practice single digit math facts for division. They play a game of golf with a partner (or by themselves) and try to roll the math fact in the least amount of rolls to reach par. All of the games practice division facts from 0-10. Take the monotonous timed test out of the picture and have students play a fun game of golf instead!

You can play with a partner and try to reach par in the least amount of "strokes" or points. This game includes different ways to play using a die, or two dice, adding, or subtracting before you divide. It is a fun way to practice your division facts. Objective: The objective of the game "Oops" is to get your teammates to guess a word without using certain pre-defined words or phrases associated with it - these are called "Oopsies"

Gameplay:

1. The clue giver selects a number from the selection board, revealing the word to be described as well as the "oopsies" associated with it.

2. The clue giver must then describe the word without using any of the "oopsies".

3. The guessers on the team try to guess the word based on the clues given. The guesser sits with their back turned to the slide, while the clue giver faces the slide.

4. The guesser can make as many guesses as they want within 1 minute.

5. If a teammate guesses the word correctly, the team earns a point. However, if the clue giver uses an "oopsie," they forfeit a point.

6. After the minute is up or the word is correctly guessed, play passes to the next team.

7. Play continues back and forth until all the slides have been used or a set number of rounds has been completed.

8. The team with the most number of points wins.

This statistics graphs 4-piece puzzle is a fun way to test students ability interpret data. Students match the images of fruit to the frequency table and two graph representations (pie charts and bar graphs). It is designed to be easily cut with little wastage. So either the teacher or tutor can prepare the cards by cutting them before hand, or students can cut their own cards, giving them a chance to see the solutions before they attempt the puzzle. Although this product is made in colour, it prints perfectly well in black and white. Each puzzle is the size of an A4 of US Letter sheet.
