Firstly, there are six reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about:

• An Overview of Ancient India
• The Indus Valley Civilization
• Siddhartha Gautama & the Birth of Buddhism
• The Birth of Hinduism
• Ashoka the Great
• The Taj Mahal

These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. All texts then have an extension activity, a crossword and a wordsearch for those fast finishers. Answers, for teacher use, are on the final page of each document.

Then, there are two biography writing units about Ashoka the Great and Siddhartha Gautama. The units have been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Then, there is an informational writing unit about Ancient India. The unit has again been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

Finally, there is an opinion writing unit about who was the most influential figure from the history of India: Ashoka the Great, Siddhartha Gautama or the more recent - Mahatma Gandhi. This unit has again been split into three or four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

In this product, students will learn the sign and English vocabulary word for the 111 different health vocabulary words presented.

This product can be used with students who are learning English and/or sign language. It can serve as an in class practice, review, or quiz.

In the first section of the product, students will learn the English word, the sign of each health vocabulary item, and the health vocabulary word will be used in a sentence. Students will be able to write the name of the item in their native language. A picture is also included to represent each health vocabulary word. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 11 health vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one.

In the second section of the product, there is a dictionary provided that includes the English word, the sign, and a picture showing each health vocabulary word presented.

In the third section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign, sentence, and picture that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to write the word and make up a sentence in their native language.

In the fourth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign and picture that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to write the English word on the each line and make up a sentence using the health vocabulary word presented.

Health vocabulary words that are included in this product include words such as alcohol, ambulance, backache, clinic, call, doctor, exercise, headache, hurt, nurse, oxygen, etc. vocabulary words relate with health and wellness, drug use, medication, medical care, what you may need when you are sick, where you go when you are sick, symptoms you may have when you are sick, etc.
