The skill of recognizing a small group of objects without counting (subitizing) is a fundamental skill in the development of number sense as well as a precursor to success on measures of beginning quantity discrimination. These low prep and engaging task cards are a great way to practice identifying and matching emotions. Great for younger students, special eductation, students working on fine motor skills; and nonverbal students. Students will identify the emotion on the top of the task card and find the corresponding emotion. They can clip a clothes pin on the emotion or circle it with a dry erase marker. 

Resource also includes emotion mats. Students will get to practice drawing in the different emotions. Each mat provides an example of how they can draw the emotions-perfect for those still struggling or who need an extra assist. Great for 1:1, small groups, centers, quiet work, etc.

These are some great activities for your literacy center!

The bundle includes Uppercase and lowercase letter-matching puzzles with visual pictures that begin with each letter. This really helps your visual learners!

There is also word-building puzzles which helps students practice the sound each letter makes while completing small puzzles.

Last but not least there is also mini-readers with predictable sentence starters for your early readers. They can trace each letter and color the pictures before or after reading the mini books. These are great spread out throughout the year while you study each letter or however you would like to use them!

This is a fun, engaging, creative activity to support students to follow instructions as well as shape, colour and number recognition.

What to do?

1.Encourage students to cut out all of the various coloured and shaped visuals (sprinkles and frosting flavours and cupcake bases)

2.Follow each of the 10 cupcake recipe cards to create the various recipes.

3.Write your own recipes on the blank recipe cards and make your own.
