Each summer-themed printable comes in two versions for differentiated learning: one version is a cut and paste, the other is a fill-in-the-blank version with a word bank for more advanced students. Cut and paste versions work well for preschool and kindergartners working on scissor skills, while the word bank version gives older kinders, first and second graders practice at writing and identifying the parts of the life cycles. How can I use this printable in my classroom?

These pages can be used as an independent activity! Each page comes with a series of number on the clams and a corresponding color for the numbers. Learners will solve the subtraction facts and find out the answer for each equation. They will then refer to the code on the top at the top of the page and color that section based on the color coding on top.

These pages can be used as morning work, homework, an independent center activity, or as an early finisher. Students will practice their subtraction facts to 20 and feel like they are completing a fun coloring page!

The object of the game is to find the sun hidden behind one of the clouds buy using your number knowledge to pick your guesses. Designed for the pocket chart, Where's the Sun? is a game for centers or whole group instruction where a sun is hidden behind a cloud. A poem is chanted where the student(s) must say the number or number word they think the sun is behind. Once guessed, the number is removed.
