This framework is based on trauma-informed principles and knowledge. This framework is intentionally designed to teach and to shape the individual’s behaviour within consistent limits using non-blaming, non-shaming and empowering communication.

This trauma-informed framework of support also encourages discussing consequences that are clearly connected to the individual’s behaviour, yet also uses words that encourage thinking and the development of insight whilst preserving relational connections and attunement. The strategies included are divided into Ecological, Interactional and Skill Development. This resource provides you with Emotion and Feeling Cards as well as Calming and Coping Strategy Cards to support the implementation of the included strategies.

Then this fun PowerPoint presentation is a great way to introduce or review house and furniture vocabulary with your elementary or secondary class. There are 69 terms represented on 72 different slides (plus a title page and a terms of use page). Links to the Google Slides version of the presentation are now included in this zipped file.

The terms represented include:

• 9 rooms/areas of the house
• 8 parts of the kitchen
• 3 parts of the dining room
• 9 parts of the bedroom
• 11 parts of the living room
• 6 parts of the office
• 6 parts of the bathroom
• 4 parts of the laundry room
• 5 parts of the garden

Each slide is animated so that the picture appears first, followed by the Spanish term. The presentation is completely free of English, but still very comprehensible, thanks to the great clip art. My students really enjoy when we use this as a review with whiteboards. Make sure to check out the preview for a complete list of terms. Please note that the terms in the presentation are NOT editable, although slides may be deleted or rearranged.

**Please note that the pictures are covered by white boxes that are animated to disappear when in presentation mode. When viewing the presentation in any mode other than “presentation mode”, it looks like there aren’t any pictures.**
