HOW TO PLAY

This is a partner game (I usually put it in one of my math stations, and change it out with different holiday versions). Taking turns the students roll 2 die, add the sum, color in a box in that number column on their side of the game page. Students can also DAB IT with a bingo dauber if you choose. Continue taking turns in this manner until they reach the picture in the center, and they circle that picture to capture it. The first one to capture 3 pictures wins! All games are the same Game, just with different pictures to capture. This allows you to change out the games often throughout the month and keep things fresh.

Multiplication and Division | KaBoom Cards

By LittleStreams

These KaBoom cards are a fun way to practice finding the long multiplication, short division (bus stop method) and long division with differentiation built in. Players choose whether they want to choose an easier question (red), but will receive less points for their correct answer, or risk a more challenging question (green) and gain greater rewards.

The red cards consist of questions involving multiplying two and three digit numbers by a one digit number, and using the bus stop method of division. The Yellow Cards of questions which include multiplying a two digit number by a two digit number, and harder division questions including involving decimals. The Green Card consists of multiplying and dividing by decimal numbers and the need to use long division.

Begin by laying all the cards out face down (so you see only the number of points they are worth). Players take turns to select a card, either red, yellow or green. The difficulty of the question will increase. They may also pick up either steal, giving them a chance to steal from any other player, shield, which protects them from the next KaBoom, and KaBoom cards which means you lose all your collected points so far.

Play as a whole class in teams, or print multiple copies as play around the table. If students get the answer incorrect, or they need some help, use your judgement as to whether you will allow them another guess or not. Questions answered incorrectly go in the ‘house’ pile, along with any cards lost in a KaBoom. At the end of the game, add up the ‘house’ pile. The winner is the player or team with the highest points (including any shield cards that have been unused). The house can win.

Included are two copies of the game; one designed for a duouble sided printer and one designed for single sided printing where you need to turn over the pages yourself to print double sided.

Full instructions are included as are answers.

2nd Grade Jeopardy Game - Math

By A Teachers Sidekick

This Jeopardy game is a review of Math content in 2nd grade. The categories include Base 10, Place Value, Addition, Subtraction, Geometry/Measurement & Data, and Word Problems. It is completely interactive. No need to scroll through all the slides, you just click on the points for whatever category that you like and it will take you right to the question.

This would be a great product for a review at the end of the year for 2nd grade, practice during summer school, and even a pre-assessment for 3rd grade to see what your students know coming into the school year.

You will need to have a scorekeeper, and I would recommend splitting students up into teams of 4. I hope you enjoy this product. Please rate and review.

Special Thanks to Ready to Go Reading for providing the interactive in slide timer. Check out her store! Ready to Go Reading

BUMP Kinder Math Game * Addition, Subtraction, Ways to Make 10, Missing Addends

By Alicia Rosti

This file contains materials for 6 different versions of the popular math game BUMP.

Students use the included boards and cards to practice:

Addition within 5

Subtraction within 5

Addition within 10

Subtraction within 10

Missing Addends within 10

Ways to make 10

Each board comes in both a color and black & white version.

My students love playing these games, and I love that they are developing fact fluency while having fun. They are also great options to send home for parents and kids to play while school buildings are closed.

**Please feel free to send the pdf file to families so they can print at home while school buildings are closed.**

I use these differentiated games during centers and for early finishers. Simply print the boards and laminate, or slip into sheet protectors, for an easy to make math game. I like to print on cardstock for increased durability.

Keywords: Bump, math, game, addition, subtraction, missing addend, ways to make 10, fact fluency, wagon, aliens, space, monsters, puppies, dogs
