HOW TO PLAY

This is a partner game (I usually put it in one of my math stations, and change it out with different holiday versions). Taking turns the students roll 2 die, add the sum, color in a box in that number column on their side of the game page. Students can also DAB IT with a bingo dauber if you choose. Continue taking turns in this manner until they reach the picture in the center, and they circle that picture to capture it. The first one to capture 3 pictures wins! All games are the same Game, just with different pictures to capture. This allows you to change out the games often throughout the month and keep things fresh.

Make learning about Ireland and Saint Patrick's Day and Irish culture and history fun with this no-prep digital escape game.  This game includes access to a website where your students will hunt for the keys to unlock a set of locks.  Students will need to read the clues very carefully and watch videos, visit websites, and read texts to find the information they need to win the game.  Very easy to use - just send your students to the website and let them work!  Students can play individually or in teams.

Digital escape games are a fun way to start a unit, or to review at the end of a unit.  They can also be used to learn about a cultural or historical event.  This game will have your students reading carefully and paying attention to the smallest details in order to complete the challenge and unlock the locks.

A St. Patrick's Day Escape Room activity. Ideal for fifth grade or sixth grade, the activity is perfect for group work; a great holiday activity; team-building activities; or for a fun, engaging and interactive lesson. In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Saint Patrick's Day and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.

In Task 2 students will use the same informational text to complete a crossword puzzle. Within the puzzle there are several hidden letters which will need to be unscrambled on the completion of the puzzle to reveal the second word.

In Task 3 students will have to cut out 27 timeline task cards about important holidays or festivals celebrated in the United States and around the world. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word.

In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word.

Students can then complete their student answer key with the four words they revealed before checking with the teacher to see if they have escaped successfully.

La Saint Patrick - French Dots and Boxes Activity

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure to 24 different St. Patrick's Day French themed words. This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your opponent. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the words on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most.

This product is a digital puzzle that requires students to complete 25 comparing fractions equations with different denominators. The link to the digital puzzle is on a clickable PDF that you would download once purchased. Students will put the symbols, <,>, or = in the answer box. This activity is no prep and is self checking. If the student puts the correct answer in, the answer box will turn green and a piece of the digital puzzle will appear in the green box to the right. If the student puts in the wrong answer, the answer box will turn red and no puzzle piece will appear. Students will know that they have completed the activity correctly when all answer boxes are green and all 25 puzzle pieces are there, forming a picture of a leprechaun. Fun beyond FLUFF! This St. Patrick's Day Activity Unit keeps the standards at the forefront and the fluff out the door. Are you a teacher who wants to mark the holiday in your classroom, without giving up instructional time for the chaos of yet another party? Then this St. Patrick's Day Integrated Activity Unit is for you. I specifically designed it for 2nd-4th grade learners. Learn about why we celebrate the holiday and where the traditions of green, pinching, and leprechauns come from in kid friendly content. Students will read, comprehend, learn vocabulary, have fun with playful limericks, reinforce grade appropriate math skills with multiple leveled worksheets to choose from to meet all the needs of your mathematics students. You'll even have 4 assignments you can use as a grade. This unit should take about 3 hours all in all. Feel free to break it up, do some whole group, some small group, some in stations to keep the learning alive.
