** Are you looking for a resource to teach students to understand temporal concepts or are you Teaching sequence of events, Following directions or Sentence writing?  These syntax activities will teach your students how to understand 25, higher level temporal concepts (prior to, simultaneous, thereafter). It is a simple drill in which students are provided with a small scenario containing the word and asked to determine the meaning of the concept.**

The Lesson works well with older students (Grades 6- 10)  or with students who have mild  cognitive delays yet good language skills. An independent lesson will take about 30 minutes however if you are using it as a teaching tool during instruction the lesson can easily fill 60 minutes with breaks in between for group discussion. When I use this lesson with my Speech classroom it takes two  30 minute sessions and 60 minutes total.

Can he find a way to get Sophieo notice him and go out with him on a date? There are four targeted vocabulary structures that are used multiple times throughout the story. The targeted structures are:

• in love with
• doesn’t see him
• he buys
• smaller than

This very simple story is told in two different ways. There is a printable text version, and an animated mp4 version. Tell the story as you watch it (pause if you want to stop and discuss or storyask!), or just watch it for comprehension. The video is just over 5 minutes long, with pause time for students to read the text. There is a second version of the video with only the illustrations - no text - so you can watch it and do story retells. With novice low and novice mid learners, you can tell the story as is. For novice high learners, you can add more details or write a parallel story. You could even use this story at higher levels by having students retell the story in the past.

2 ways to play:

* a sit-down activity - print out, cut up

Children draw an adjective from a receptacle and place it on the right plate.

* a kinetic activity (great for lively classes) -print out two sets, cut up, laminate

• divide students into two teams
• place the plates at one end of the classroom and the receptacles with adjectives at the opposite end of the classroom
• children pick an adjective and run and place it on the correct plate and run back
• they high-five the next team member in line and only then can the next player pick an adjective and run to the plates
• the competition ends when all the adjectives have been placed
• the team which scores the most points (= placed the most adjectives right) wins

You need counters and dices. To be played in pairs or small groups. If you teach a larger group, print out a few of them.

3 ways to play:

* pupils say the comparative and superlative of the adjective

* pupils form a comparative / superlative and add a suitable noun

* pupils form a sentence

If they make a mistake or don't know, they lose their turn and have to return back to the square they previously stood on.

6. Tic Tac Toe

To be played in pairs. In order to write their Xs and Os, pupils have to write the

comparative and superlative on the line. If they don't know, they have to choose a different square. If they make a mistake, they lose their turn.

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the different verbs presented. Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language and after learning the English word, students will complete the verbs vocabulary review where they will be required to fill in the English and their native language noun vocabulary word. Pictures are included for each vocabulary word to help students make connections to what each verb is. Students can do this independently or with help. Students will be required to answer a few comprehension questions that relate with what they do that requires the use of verbs. Students will then choose 5 verbs and make up 5 sentences using each verb.

A thorough lesson plan on the well-known drama "An Inspector Calls" by J.D. Priestley. The play's action takes place in an industrial city in England, where a young girl kills herself and a well-known British family is routinely investigated in relation to the death. All of the family members are either directly or indirectly implicated in the girl's downfall. As a result, an inspector calls to investigate the family. Before the evening is done, the close-knit and amiable family is revealed to be cowardly, selfish, or self-centered, its good humor turning to sour, and its pleasant fellowship to despised.

Every step of the 90-minute lesson is included in the lesson plan. It includes the 'An Inspector Calls || 7 Minute Summary' YouTube video from the Easy as GCSE channel. A student worksheet that may be printed has a lot of activities and answers at the end.

Pictures are included for each vocabulary word to help students make connections to what each item is. Students can do this independently or with help. Students will be required to answer a few comprehension questions that relate with what their favorite hobby is, what their least favorite hobby is, etc.
