Inspire your students and build classroom community with these motivational quote cards! This product features a set of 30 unique "Get Inspired!" cards that you can use to inspire your students throughout the school year. Each card contains a motivational quote from famous figures like Helen Keller, Nelson Mandela, and Babe Ruth. I keep these in a jar on my desk and hand them out to students in times of both strife and achievement. Over time, I noticed that my eighth graders were actually collecting them and keeping them in their binders to show their parents. Especially when used discreetly, these cards show your students that you truly do notice and appreciate their efforts which in turn, motivates them even further to succeed. I introduce these cards on the first day of school and use them all year long, particularly during more difficult units or when the next school vacation seems impossibly far away. Visual schedules are a tool used for students with exceptionalities, but particularly for those with autism, to help transition between activities and places, follow a routine, know what to expect in their day, and develop new skills.  The schedule allows a sequence of pictures and words to be arranged in order so that students can set and follow a daily schedule, as well as mark off completed tasks.  The schedule can also be used to break large tasks or events down into smaller steps.  Having a visual schedule can be a help to reduce challenging behaviour.
